Re: treadmill help.

Sorry, I would imagine any mill is harder on the joints but probably a carpet would be worse.

I like the dogpacer because it allows a full reach for a leggier dog, human belts can often stunt this.

Re: treadmill help.

If you can find/afford one I do like carpet mills. I have a Dogpacer and we used them at my work as well for day training dogs. I start every dog slowly with treats for investigating, treats for getting on, treats for staying on while I turn it on and then off. Rinse & repeat until you see confi...

Good diet for an elderly dog?

My 14 year old eats the same food as my 2 year old. They eat pulsar & natures domain.

I do encourage the use of glycoflex3. :)

too skinny?

What DNA test did you use? I've never seen any come back as 100% anything! He's very handsome - I don't think he's too skinny at all, but as others have said, the picture is tough to read. i used wisdom mixed breed. i was SO surprised when it came back 100% too, trust me. a page full of wee little ...

Anyone use Blue Buffalo food?

I fed blue buff for years, it's a great food, the reason I stopped was the cost.

Re: Thinkin' bout switchin' from Evo to Orijen

well TOTW is a great price but i wouldn't trust any food put out by Diamond foods. Why? Because of what happened a few years ago? I'd like to try Orijen or Acan sometime but never have.... yeah, any company that has directly caused the number of pet deaths that diamond has doesn't deserve a 2nd cha...

Thinkin' bout switchin' from Evo to Orijen

I have no Orijen experience, sorry. . Curious on how the quality of Solid Gold is these days, been a long time since i've heard much about them I just switched back to Solid Gold sun dancer (?) and thus far I'm happy with it. I only add a cup here and there with my THK & raw but it's not given m...

Re: Kirkland dog food/heads up

I totally agree, however, does your dogs poop have a strange (all-be-it faint) chemical smell?? Denis thinks I'm nuts but it makes me gag and none of the other feeds bother me. I think we're going to try their Turkey variety next (I always keep kibble on hand to use here and there) and see if it's j...

Considering I just paid 50 dollars for a 30 lb bag of solid gold (on sale) I think you're making out pretty darn well. ;)

Re: Kirkland dog food/heads up

I know a lot of people that have stopped feeding kibble and switched to can food and/or a home made cooked diet.(if they do not or cannot feed a raw diet) dog nutritionist and vets have said feeding kibble is like eating a diet of over processed fast food your entire life and expecting to stay heal...

Re: The Cost of Feeding Raw?

I think when people say "raw diets are not for everyone" it could come from a place with a little more tolerance, rather than viewing raw as an elite echelon that only The Very Best Dog Owners can attain and everyone else is sub-par. Poor abused Booker.... :teardrops: My happy, slappy dog...
