Re: Question about Dasuquin

Being that they're both made by nutramax labs, that's a chance I'm comfortable taking.

Boswellia & Bromelain

Anyone have experience with these? Fauna's surgeon recommended she been on them long term, along with Dasuquin & a good fish oil, as I wean her off her NSAIDs and opiate. I read up on them earlier, just wondering if anyone has used them.

Re: Question about Dasuquin

Love Dasuquin. However, Cosemin ASU is *exactly* the same in capsule form, and much cheaper. I confirmed this with Nutramax (make of both products)

Nutrisca dog food

Anyone know anything about it? I know it's Dogswell, whose treats are not so hot, but the food is reportedly 100% USA made. I read up on it a bit but just seeing if anyone has tried it.

Re: Eating too Quickly?

This is the dog that 5 days ago you weren't getting? ::sigh::

Try work to eat toys, like Wobblers, Tug-a-Jugs, puzzles. I've found them to be most helpful for gulpers.

Let us know what the path results are. Awesome of your vet to do everything right then and let you be so involved, I really like that!

Re: Breedfreak pet costs calculator

The calculator is cool! The breed list sucks! :crybaby: Regardless, it's a good find. I wish people would look at the big picture like that. Mine was funny since I get so much vet care for free, but my classes and collar habit make up for it  And as for calling mixes/mutts Designer or Fancy ...

Re: Annoying vets, leaky puppy butt, and diet/raw feeding

Those foods wouldn't be meant as long term feeding if you so chose. They are made to target a problem. And as far as allergies/sensitivities, the likelihood of them in such a young pup are negligible at best. Typically those are issues that take time to develop. If I had a puppy that was having diar...

Re: Parvo recovery-what can i expect?

This breeder sounds like a real winner. :( Already wanting to breed an untitled, unproven dog who quite likely contracted a preventable disease due to his oversight. Regardless, im glad she is on the mend and out of those hands. that is cheap for parvo tx! Jeebus! I can't help but wonder though, sin...

Re: Annoying vets, leaky puppy butt, and diet/raw feeding

No offense, but Allison isn't the one making you look like anything. Her reply was quite reasonable in context, and contained sound advice.

Re: Parvo recovery-what can i expect?

Is the breeder covering the cost of her treatment? Parvo can rack up a nice bill.

Re: OFA X-ray prices?

I thinking getting him checked out prior to anything strenuous is great, but why OFA? He's not a breeding animal, or even a purebred that could bolster a rep of a breeder. A gen practice vet could tell you whether or not he is sound to work.
