Re: Tracking & SAR

Did not get your pm

It sounds like SAR might not be the best option for you as it's a very stressful world working. Nose work sounds like the best option for you

Glad you are back on the up and up. Any question you have just ask

Here is a good explanation of tracking vs trailing from my SAR groups website
http://gpsdogs.org/Tracking.html

Btw that pic is of me and K9 Eve my pittie that did tracking and trailing. We now do human remains detection work

Re: Tracking & SAR

I went to this section today just looking at the sports and enjoying seeing some things that you all do. Some of you do 'Nosework' which I know is its own thing. But what about Tracking and SAR work? After looking online and our forum about the organizations for each. They seem more diverse than th...

Best tug toy

Eve is food driven but I want to keep introducing a toy to her as many SAR handlers say that food motivation runs out the older they get and I want to continue to have a strong work reward. She likes to tug but I can't find crap at the stores that works well. I thought Stillwater had cow hide that m...

Re: I can't find anything I can understand or use on Trackin

Not sure if I can help as I do Search and Rescue tracking...it's quite different IMO. Kevin Kocher http://www.amazon.com/Train-Police-Bloodhound-Discriminating-Patrol/dp/0578069865/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321329024&sr=8-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has a great book for SA...
