in Houston

Hey guys, I don't post very often anymore but I need some help. Does anyone in the Houston area have a spot in their home to foster or give a forever home to a sweet girl? A friend of mine in Houston found her tied to the door of her apartment the other night and cannot keep her. (As it is her own d...

Can of worms I'm not even going to touch, lets just say I like my dog more than most people

Yeah, I know what that's like. Most people suck...big time.

I knew Prince wasn't too skinny I just wanted other opinions to back me up! You guys are right, and I will be getting Prince to lose a few pounds, but tone up a bit so he stays lean and not too skinny. It is so sad how people are beginning to think of fat as normal... but not only in dogs, also in t...

Ugh see I thought so as well! That he could even lose a few pounds.. but everybody else is saying "he's skinny! I feel bad for him for living here" yadda yadda... I got into an argument with my boyfriend a few times about it... Because he agrees with them and says stuff like that seems mea...

Prince, skinny?

So my boyfriend doesn't seem to understand the concept of the amount of food that Prince is supposed to eat.. and he thinks it should be more. All of a sudden he is telling me that his parents were saying "That dog is too skinny! I feel bad for him living here, he needs to eat more!" etc e...

A dog with ear mites will scratch his ears a lot and shake his head. There will be a thick, black crusty discharge and an overall increase in ear wax. It's most common for puppies to get ear mites but dogs can get them at any age. I've had both a cat and a puppy with ear mites and they are very eas...

There is no odor, at least I didn't smell anything when I was cleaning his ear today. Also yes he does have access to a cat. I mean.. he doesn't get super close to the cat cuz the cat hates him but they do get near each other and obviously live in the same place. He has been scratching his ear a lot...

Ears

Recently Prince's ear has been bugging him, and I think he might have ear mites? I don't exactly know what it's like cuz I never had an issue with them in dogs before.. but inside his ear the skin is kinda red and irritated.. and today there was like black stuff, I don't know if it was dirt or dried...

I can't offer much help except Prince was having some issues with itchiness a couple months ago, plus a major reaction to something when he was little... I never figured out what he is allergic to, except flea bites I think was causing pretty bad reaction in him a few months ago. Basically, I just w...

Re: complaint

It seems this person just has a hate on for me and my kennel and my over whelming love and care for this breed. I was warned prior to selling this pup about who I was selling it to and I guess I should have listened. Ok.. just has hate on you and your kennel? All I did first of all was ask if you w...

*sigh* I honestly actually agree as well. I didn't even want to bring this argument here. Especially not in Introductions. Hopefully a mod can just lock this thread and as for the other one eh it's done anyways. I said what I needed to say and now the rest is pointless.

Why all the caps?

All of their emails yesterday were in caps too. I pointed it out and they just said THANKS FOR THE ADVICE ON MY TYPING SKILLS and continued on.

First of all I bought Prince for 600 dollars, I don't know where you got 500. I paid 300 dollars down on him and then 300 again before they arrived. No nobody would ask me about Prince ever, nobody had in the whole 1.5 years I have had him. I emailed you guys updates about him and Bane a couple time...

Hey actually that is a bit helpful. It isn't that bad with Prince, but I was thinking it was either food allergies or environmental, since summer is coming.. and we just moved here about 5 - 6 months ago (from northern canada) so I know it's got to be different and maybe that is affecting him. He ha...

Allergies?

I'm thinking Prince is allergic to possibly something outside or his food. If it's his food it would be an allergy that has developed and not something he had his whole life. His itchiness and redness got worse around the time I started feeding him IAMS, but it could be a couple of other factors too...
