I guess I interpreted your taking care of her as taking care of her AND her pet too :dunno: She obviously needs it - as well as the dog. We are giving her a place to stay so she could leave her house. She is getting a divorce and her living conditions weren't very good. We are housing her. Not baby...

would the owner be ok with you getting her spayed, if you presented them with a list of reasons? I am sure she would. She isn't against getting her spayed. She knows she needs too and is intending on it. She is just one of those people who pushes things like getting her dog spayed off, for more imp...

She said, the vet said, they have to wait 30 days after her cycle before they can spay her. It has only been 2 weeks. Not sure if that is helpful or not , haha.

Just a random part of the equation that popped in my head.

I would if she was my dog. But she isn't and I certainly don't feel it is my responsibility to spay someone elses dog who is completely capable, but simply irresponsible. If I could find a free spay I would probably do it.

When a bitch is in heat and after.

We are helping a friend through a divorce and she is staying with me for a few months. She has a 1 year old lab. Her lab isn't spayed (i know, I already laid into her about it). My questions is. She recently was in heat and is done. However, her nipple area looks a little saggy, like they have milk ...

I will just chime in briefly. I knew this thread was going to turn into this anywho, haha. I used to argue with people that dog parks are great and my pit bulls hda just as much as right to be there as anyone elses dogs. After I kept reading and reading on here and began to really analyze the dog pa...

I have been giving her 50mg of Benadryl, twice a day, for 3 days.

She still has them, but they look like they might be going away.

The Hives timeline?

How long does it take for hives to come and go? I have a vet appointment today for Baileys hives. she got them about a week ago. And of course today, they look like they might be getting better. The definitely aren't getting worse. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to normally go away? I d...

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. The hives don't seem to be getting worse but they are still kicking for sure. I gave her a bath with all natural Oatmeal Bath Scrub last night and have given her 4 Benadryl in the lasy 20 hours or so. I made a vet appointment for Monday. If they don't show an...

How much Benadryl?

Well, Bailey has hives. They started out a couple days ago and are getting worse every day. Could it be the change in weather? Could it be her new food? Could it be the Xmas Tree? Could it be the laundry soap? I have no idea what is causing them. There are a bunch of things that it could be. She is ...

I had Bailey spayed not too long ago and the next day she was up and moving just fine. I would give her a week of relaxation and she'll be good to go.
