Re: How should I handle this?

I shouldn't have to do this! And I'm getting madder at the increasing frequency - Ruby loves this woman and when she or her mother of similar voice have it out, Ruby takes it personally. She won't play fetch or eat a bully stick but instead scurries inside - makes me sad. I was afraid of the warning...

Re: How should I handle this?

I hear ya - Ruby has refused a bully stick before during an 'episode'. Yes, I have a soft dog but it pisses me off that she gets so upset over just overhearing this nonsense!! I ALMOST called the cops today, esp. when the dad left and the mom was left home alone to take it all by herself but it happ...

How should I handle this?

Poor sweet, sensitive (soft) Ruby takes it personally when my neighbor, who is her primary dog sitter (maybe 4 times a year) goes aggro and screams at her family... She still lives at home at 55 and since menopause has gotten worse and more frequent with her rages: screaming, breaking things, cops b...

experience with chelitis ?

Took Ruby in today for a moist 'sore' like spot on her lower lip that's been there a few weeks. My hypothesis was right: her teeth are pretty flat and her lower lips 'plump?' - (I think the vet said) and she must be constantly leaking some saliva in the same spot. It's sort of oozy damp gross about ...

Re: Best sources of antioxidants for our dogs?

Raw carrots, however make great 'treats' - I chop them up and put them in a water bottle like a tug a jug sort or even an empty vitamin bottle with the lid on. Ruby will do tricks for carrots but they just come out the other end they way they went in - she doesn't notice, tho! LOL

Re: Best sources of antioxidants for our dogs?

For the record - raw veggies go right thru - my Ruby poops obvious carrot bits. If you are after nutritional benefits and just not 'cheap snacks', you have to cook them in order to break down their cell walls since dogs don't digest cellulose.

Aww man - wish I lived closer - he is adorable! I'd say 'rescue' him and then figure the rest out - obviously he's not getting the minimum requirement of care or containment!!

Re: Anyone selling their copy of Control Unleashed?

Not today, UCL -- but sadly, I just rediscovered that I had previously bought it (and put it somewhere) for about a year -- was going to guy a copy and then I found it.... that's sad that I had it and forgot to read it... Thanks for the reminder to get off my butt and utilize an already paid-for res...
