If you are that far south its tough. I used Fox Lake Animal Hospital when Blu broke his leg. DON'T USE BGAH. Buffalo Grove is ridiculous. I would NEVER go there, I've had two dealings with them in the last year, never again. They actually went as far as to tell my boyfriend he was a bad pet owner be...

Pumpkin helps rather than rice.

We use it because Blu has grain issues.

Blu only raises his out of fear. Typically noises he doesn't recognize etc.. He doesn't do it when playing with other dogs etc... Fudge raises his out of fear or if a dog he doesn't like approaches. Fudge is very mellow, but I've found that he's had issues with certain dogs. Not DA but just generall...

Its possible but I would be leery. Fudge is FANTASTIC with the cats. Always has been. Blu however, while he won't chase them necessarily, he does have a high prey drive, plus he's young. I don't leave him out if no one is home, even to run to get the laundry downstairs. That's just me though. Fudge ...

I don't know how much you have to worry about the red butt issue, everytime Blu poops you can see that red "extension" so to speak. Milk Thistle could help any irritation the pup is having

chlorohexiderm is available at like Walgreens or CVS.

I use it for spot treatment. We have to bathe Blu one every two weeks, or he gets funky.

At about 5-6 months(Blu was a stray) he was a chunker at 43 lbs. He's now 65-68 lbs and 19 months old.

He's got a lean build.

We had our guys harnessed to a large sled (made for sled dogs) in our alley last night... hehe, we got strange looks but if you smile and show the pup having a good time, most people don't bat an eyelash. Like Baha said, be prepared to explain it, I know my family at first didn't know what the hell ...

I think there are some people in rescue who like the challenge of "fixing" something. There is a line you have to draw however. Fudge was my first, and he is a rescue from a shelter and that boy is ROCK solid. He's never snapped at anything. He's never been anything but cool and confident,...

I just wanted to say this has been probably the most informative thread I've read since joining. A couple weeks ago I posted re: nipping behavior and some people came back saying teeth on skin=dead dog. I'm glad to hear from experienced owners that this isn't always true. My boy is DRIVEY. This is w...
