Paris is 10 and she's on a whole new diet!

Hello friends, I hope there are still a few of you who might remember me. For those who don't know me I joined this forum when Paris was about 6 months old, and today she is 10 years, 4 months and 19 days young! Trivia question: When is her birthday? :nana: In the community I am in, there has been a...

Artemis Dog Food

Yes I think I'll do just that. I'll keep a close eye on her. I do keep her in good shape but the past months she's spent with my parents made her gain 8 pounds. My dad feeding her table scrap all day everyday and my mom putting more kibble than necessary. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to shave...

Re: Artemis Dog Food

Thanks for the responses. mtlu, yes I am in the UAE, Dubai to be specific. I think it makes sense to mix kibble with wet food. So given that she needs 3 cans a day if I am only feeding wet and 2 cups a day if I am only feeding dry, I will mix 1/2 to 3/4 of a can with 1 cup per feeding. Does this sou...

Artemis Dog Food

Hi All, As some of you know I moved to a place in the world where good quality kibble is hard to find. All we have is RC, Euka, IAM's and all that other low end kibble (IMHO). After much MUCH months of research, I was able to find this British lady that supplies Artemis dry dog food. I researched it...

Lump on the neck!

Hey guys I have a question. I took Paris to the vet 3 days ago for shots and a general checkup. So he checked her out, her heart rate, temperature etc. He also did a physical medical. He gave her all the shots that she needed and in the end he just recommended frontline. So I was like why not. He br...

Some leaking issues :S

Hi Guys, I hope all is well with everyone. Paris and I are doing great still trying to get accustomed to a new lifestyle, so it's all good. A new issue has started with her; she now leaks from her vagina. It's not pee or anything like that, it's just a transparent/odorless liquid. She started doing ...

She is adorable and looks like my little disaster.

Paris's weight fluctuates as well between 37 and 41. She is two years old almost.

Your dog looks like she is in very good shape. I can see some ribs and it looks like she gets exercise.

I'm sure it hurt some, he just didn't seem to be bothered with it. But in his case, I did it because it couldn't be any more painful than having torn nails all the time from running around. I tried everything to get the quicks to recede and nothing ever worked. I couldn't have him tearing nails jus...

Do NOT get the surgical procedure done. Cutting the quick in the nails opens a direct venous route for bacteria to get to the bone of the toe. Infections are rare with this procedure, but when they occur, they can result in SERIOUS infections that may lead to amputation of the toe. Unless your dogs...

Yeah I do that but it doesnt work. They are still extremely long AND I use the dremmel too. I just called my vet and they told me there is a procedure done under GA. They just cut the nails pretty short which draws back the vein.

What do you think of that?

Are you feeding him table food? If you are that could be a big problem!

Long nails!

My dog has pretty long nails. When I cut them, they are still VERY long. I am 100% sure that I can not cut 1 more millimeter from them or else I will clip the vain or whatever it is. I have seen many dogs (APBT's too) with cut nails which were VERY short. My trainer told that usually when the nails ...

With an adult, its much harder for them to catch Parvo. My dog had the same symptoms as the ones you are describing and it turned out to be a bacterial infection. Antibiotics was the solution. I would definitely take her in to rule out anything serious.

You can also do 75% old, 25% new the first week, 50-50 the next, 75% new, 25% old the third week then 100% new the 4th week. Every dog will react differently to food swtiches. Mine is almost immune to it, I can switch foods in 3 days. So I would suggest you stick to this for a while, see how things ...
