Eating too Quickly?

Thanks again for the advice! He's not choking or gagging or anything so that's good :) Emma takes her sweet time eating. Cole has started to slow down a little bit over the past day or so. We found out that the kid who had been watching him while his owner was in the hospital would "forget"...

Eating too Quickly?

Colby, the dog we got, hoovers his food. He is almost a year old and a sweet boy. Every time I give him food he practically inhales it. He'll eat his 2 cups of food in less than two minutes. I've tried hand feeding him and though that slows down the quantity he inhales, he still inhales it. Any sugg...

Re: Poor Emma!

Thank you. The vet said that Emma probably has a torn cruciate ligament in her knee. Not sure if it's full or partial. If it's partial it will heal on it's own. If not she'll need surgery. She is slowly going blind, she has arthritis as well. She got put on Rimadyl. Here's hoping it's only a partial...

Poor Emma!

I went to bring Emma inside this afternoon when the kids were done with lunch (otherwise they'll feed her ALL their food, LoL) and she was sitting at the bottom of the stairs looking sad. I tried to get her to come in and she stood up and was favoring her right back leg. I had to carry her up the st...

Re: Correct Brush To Use?

Thanks y'all! I looked at the furminator, sheesh, they're expensive! I guess we'll stick to the blade. She seems to like it, stretches out so I can get all of her, doesn't run away either. The birds LOVE it when I'm done brushing her though....they flock around the fur and gather it all up for their...

Correct Brush To Use?

Which is the correct one? I use a shedding blade on Emma : http://www.diydoggrooming.com/sites/happyjoy/_files/Image/dog%20grooming%20rake%20image%204.jpg , but I just realized that I'm not sure that's what I SHOULD be using on her! She's an APBT/GSD mix, her fur is thicker than an APBT, mostly up a...

Re: Troubled Pit owner

I agree with the crate. My Emma-dog was having peeing issues and once we started crating (she's 7) it stopped. She LOVES her crate!

LOL, I got them at Wal-Mart actually. For Emma's weight I have to give her 3 of them, not sure what's in them, they're just stress/calming tabs.

Hmm..hadn't thought of the eyesight thing before. She IS getting a bit cloudy (not bad, but a touch), but we leave the light on outside for her. She does go when we let her out, least she sniffs around and squats, so I'm assuming she's going, but maybe she's not.

This irks me. In my opinion, Emma should be included in something before the house shuts down. Why do two people need to be home with the baby? Um...cause it's nice to see my husband at some point during the day other than when we're asleep. Stormi- She does get walks every day, for at least 20 min...
