she won't have lumps removed or do chemo

Our Sherman had 3 major surgeries to remove mast cell tumors. After the last surgery, they could not get clean margins around the tumor. He was on Chemo for almost a year, and was in remission before he died. The sad irony is he died of an unrelated brain lesion.. The surgeries to remove the MCT's w...

Here is an update on Maximus. I can't believe it has been a year! Thanks so much to PNWPBR and everyone who made it possible for Maximus to become part of our family! We are forever grateful! My boy Sherman (RIP) had similar sounding whining symptoms. It started off very subtly. The first time it happened, we thought it was behavioral. The whining progressed and was so out of character though, so we took him to the vet. The vet was not concerned at first. However, the whining was actuall...

Sorry for your loss Nic. Your story tugs at my heart so much because it was just a year ago that I lost my Sherman to the same situation. Time heals all wounds, but Boo will never be forgotten. Peace to you and your family.

We've done it! I can testify to the ease and thoroughness of the out-of-state adoption process with PNWPBR. Our experience adopting Maximus was AWESOME!

I can personally attest to the success of the Rescue section on pitbullforum! We adopted our wonderful pit bull Maximus because we were captivated by his story and photo posted in this very section! Maximus was being fostered out of our state, but that didn't stop us from adopting him. We just had t...

It could be a reaction to Tiva's mast cell tumor. When my dog Sherman had his first surgery to remove a mast cell tumor, he developed a bad rash. The vet said it was a reaction to the histamines released from the mast cell tumor removal. The next mast cell surgery, we gave Sherman benadryl before an...
