Beautiful doggie family. It's always sad to lose and old dog. They become so adorable little heartbreakers when they get up in years. Good luck on the pups, sounds like you like to keep a good order with your charges. Welcome to a great forum!

Y'know I actually carry a pair of Neuticles around with me on my keychain, to make me feel a little more secure about the fact that both my dogs are neutered. I also made a nice belt out of dozens of neuticles that I sprayed black, and of course I fashioned a nice sweatband out of neuticles to wear ...

Allergies are symptoms of an imbalanced immune system. An imbalanced immuned system can be week, or it can be working too hard trying to overcome a bogus problem in the body, etc. Yeast as stated earlier here can very well be tied to a system with allergies, because yeast grows with an overabundance...

they can still have live sperm for a good 8 weeks. If that should ever happen again, don't hose them like that, you could harm both dogs. don't use any kind of force, let them stand there, leave them be, after a good 20 minutes, they will untie on their own. I hope that poor dog isn't preggo....

I use Topiclean Puppy Shampoo on my boys. Brinks is chemically sensitive and this shampoo has three ingredients: Oatmeal, Aloe and Coconut oil. It has a mild, enjoyable smell, foams up great, is highly concentrated and leaves them shiny and clean, with no dandruff or dry coat. I love the stuff. http...

Hang in there MaryEllen. Demo's aproaching 14 too, so I feel for you. Its so hard for the old dogs to recover and deal with any kind of ailment. Your boy may have just stressed out the other leg compensating for the first one that was injured. Demo's gotten accupuncture and chiropratic work to ease ...

When my grandmothers dog Peanut, turned 15, she had exams about every 3 months. She lived to be 17 and a half, when my grandmother finally decided it was time to put her down. Quick question- Glucosamine and Chondriton, when should you start introducing it? Is it harmful/less beneficial if a dog ha...

I try natural remedies when possible as I do not like to turn to antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. That being said, Brinks had a variety of systemic irregularities a few years back. Mainly his skin had issues that were cleared up with homeopathic treatment, but he also had nasty, stinky ear w...

I hope your heart finds the time to heal. The hardest decision for a pet owner, but at least you reached out and made sure you were making the right decision.
