Pit bull ban proposal DROPPED in Fond du Lac (WI)

FOND DU LAC - A member of Fond du Lac's city council has dropped his proposal to ban pit bulls in the city. Rob Vande Zande changed his mind after dozens of opponents voiced their displeasure with his plans at Fond du Lac's city council meeting. Vande Zande was presenting two ordinances. The first ...

Re: Reminder about Flexy leashes

I only use the Flexi when I'm out at the park and I reel it in around other dogs/people so no entanglement can happen. I sometimes get spooked by people using Flexis because from a distance it can look like a dog's offleash. I think they use them in movies for that reason.

Re: Sit means Sit?

I hate this company. There's a dog who comes into work (I work for a dog groomer) and while he did have aggression issues beforehand, after they took him to Sit Means Sit, he became a lot more unpredictable and doesn't growl before lashing out :( I really wish more people would do a lick of research...

Re: I know my dog would refuse to "use" this.

Both my girls are skittish if they get caught up wires behind them, I can imagine they'd freak with this too.

What could have caused this? (lymph gland question)

Matilda's lymph glands on her neck felt enlarged last night as I went to bed so naturally I worried. I was going to make a call to the vet today but now they're normal sized. The only time they swelled up before was when got into some peanuts. She's her normal self in all regards, so could it have b...

Re: how often do you bath your dogs?

Once a month, at the very most, with the exception of Suki's allergy season, when she gets just plain water baths and her oatmeal baths.

Ugh, I'd always run, not walk away from any trainer that believes in that 1940's era dominance rubbish.

Re: What is your favorite dog food?

I feed my girls (twelve year old Shiba Inu, Suki, and four year old Rat Terrier mix, Matilda) Orijen senior and they do fantastic on it. The only thing that does`t do so fantastic with Orijen is the wallet  I feed them raw beef on the bone usually once a week in addition.

My Matilda does this. And when she wakes up she acts puzzled as to why her hackles are up :)

Re: Furry dog brushes

I use a shedding blade and slicker on my Shiba Inu. It's amazing just how much hair I get off of her especially in the spring.
