You're probably going to have to experiment a little bit. Consider all of the things that Jack ingests on a regular basis.. his food, rawhides, bully sticks, treats, whatever. And change things up a little bit. If he's getting bully sticks every other day, maybe that's too much for him if he has a ...

Of all the things you could choose to give a dog, rawhide would be at the bottom of the list. Not only can they harbor germs they can cause blockages and choking. There's better/safer choices, such as a stuffed Kong, nylabones, etc. When you come on here and ask for help/suggestions, then blast eve...

Anything can harbor e. coli.

He had the rawhide 2 days prior to the stomach upset.

It's like nothing is safe to give these dogs. *rolleyes*

Oh yeah Jack is definitely sick, he's just laying there on the ground at my feet instead of torturing me. :frown:

Some animal research is someone in a lab with some animals that say "Hmmm...what happens when..." and then experiment with living animals. Experiments have been done on pain tolerance and affects od adrenaline, this required live animals of different species to be tortured, and then kille...

Animal research constitutes a VERY VERY small percentage of animal deaths. And despite the rumor there is a LOT of regulation regarding animals. most of the medications that are now available to treat a number of human ailments first went through animal testing. This is so in psychology as well for ...

Simply being around the dog more will decrease the extremity of the allergic reactions. The same thing goes with local allergens...sometimes when you move to a new place or take a trip you'll notice your allergies acting back up even though your home is in the middle of pollen country and so forth.

If he wouldn't eat it in a 'wild' setting I don't think I'd feed it.

Though Jack will eat just about anything that goes near his mouth.

The blue buffalo has probiotics in it. And there's just no way I'm switching to raw. Too expensive, too intensive, too much work. I may just try switching him to some other food even though they all seem to have identical ingredients. This is why I hate posting in these side forums. No one ever look...

How often do your dogs get upset stomachs?

First let me say that I am so NOT a morning person. I hate mornings. Given the choice I would choose vampirism and just stay up at night. Now let me say how much I like waking up 15 minutes before my alarm to the sound and smell of my dog vomiting on his brand new bed that I only got TWO days ago. :...

Tough decision. But we don't know how much of mom's behavior is genetic and how much is a product of her past and current situation. She's in a shelter with strange smells and many other strange dogs around. I've seen a couple dogs that were neurotic in the shelter but fine once they got out.
