Wow. This makes me positively ill. In the first pic she looks bloated, is that normal for pregnancy or is it because of the dead puppies? Poor things. Is there last damage to the pups that can be attributed to this ordeal?

I don't really have any tips for you, but I do have a small suggestion. I have a toothbrush for Sabot that is fairly flexible and has three sets of bristles. All the bristles are pointed towards the middle and make it SO much easier because I don't have to try to brush both sides of this teeth. All ...

L Boogie, I'm glad I'm not the only that has/had this problem. It really irritates me because if it were a female getting spayed he wouldn't care at all. Gah! Let me stop before I even get started. haha Thanks, ZiggysMom. Someone has to be responsible and it certianly isn't the 23 y/o going on 12. lol

Neuter Appt!

I'm so ridiculously excited that I got Sabot a neuter appt in 3 weeks! He'll be 17 months old by then and if it were up to me we would have done it much sooner. It's been an ongoing battle between my husand and I since we got him and apparently since I decided we won't be breeding him that means DH ...

How long should I give him the pumpkin? And, it needs to be plain canned pumpkin, not the pie filling, right?

I'm pretty sure he's old enough to be neutered. Try doing a search. I know there is a thread about the pros and cons of neutering young and waiting until the dog is a year to neuter.

hwillm - Yes, it was plastic. I was already starting to obsess over his burps, which he does quite often normally. I talked to my husband about it and we decided to go ahead and do it. Hopefully we'll find it tomorrow. Allie - Honestly, I didn't think of that. I didn't see him eat it, so I'm unsure ...

Nevermind. We decided to go ahead and give him the peroxide. He threw up everything in his stomach, but I couldn't see anything that looked like a bottle cap and I couldn't bring myself to poke through it. I almost threw up just from watching him ... so, yeah. Definitely not poking through it. Maybe...

Need Quick Ans. re: Eating Bottle Cap

I think Sabot ate the cap off a water bottle a few minutes ago. I didn't see him do it, but I also can't find it. So, I called the emergency vet and asked them about it and she said I could give him peroxide to make him throw up, but that it can be stressful on him since we don't actually know if he...

Like someone else mentioned, they do eat some sand from time to time. However, I would be a little concerned if my dog were eating sand. I know when horses ingest too much sand it can cause colic, so I would be kind of concerned about that happening to my dog. Maybe someone more knowledgable can chi...

In July my pup split one of his nails to the quick. Unfortunately, because he was walking on it I ended up having to have the toenail amputated (it grew back). I think the dew claw might be alright as long as it doesn't snag on anything.

Okay, a big fat DUH for me! :headbang: I didn't even consider baby food applesauce. I usually get him the meat flavors. Thanks for pointing that out! His first b-day is coming up, so I'll be testing it out pretty soon.

just wondering why you want to sub the applesauce though? I don't really eat applesauce and although my husband claims to "love" it, he never eats it when we have it. And I know Sabot likes baby food, he gets it frozen in his kong sometimes. I just don't want the applesauce sitting in my ...

Do you think the cake would come out okay if I replaced the applesauce with baby food?
