Re: Fear/Pain Biter

Sorry for triple post - I posted my first as everyone else posted but I missed Denise's lol. Sorry. I would have blamed myself for what transpired and what the end result was. Considering your sister is disabled is there any way she can avoid having contact with Bogart when they are alone? Your sist...

I really suggest getting one of those cheap temporary restriant muzzles to keep in your doggie first aid kit. Let me say this in defense of Stacy..I know Bogart pre-Stacy and family, and I know Bogart post Stacy and family, and she has made vast improvments with this dog, he is not the same guy tha...

Well, I have lost a lot of respect for PBF within the last few months and its progressively getting worse. This isn't intended just for everyone in general - people on here are getting soo negative and aren't helping they way they are supposed to. Everyone flocks to misc and then goes to the main se...

Hmmmm, maybe you shouldn't get another rescued dog. I mean, if you can't handle the rehabilitation process, than why not buy from a breeder. I know you want to rescue dogs, but you aren't helping them if you don't know how to handle them. Let me say this in defense of Stacy..I know Bogart pre-Stacy...

EVERYTHING about this situation could have been avoided. At my hospital, i'm the 'brave or stupid' vet tech. You know why i've got that name? because im the first one to reason with a scared animal that others think is going to eat them. IF YOU THINK IT WILL, IT WILL. So, this situation should have...

Wait a second. I said - first and formost that he IS an animal. A pit bull second. I posted that upset and as a human. I appologize for that. We are and have been taking dog handling classes, we've read everything on here even before we ever thought of getting Bogart. I don't think pit bulls need to...

Fear/Pain Biter

We had an issue last night that really sucks. Bogart had a sleeping bag in his crate for months and months. He loves to nestle and push it around in his crate. We cut off all the strings and everything we thought could possibly hurt him. Last night, we must have missed one. He pulled part of the zip...

She's fabulous. I'm going to cross post this a bit and see what I can find. I would take her in a heart beat if we weren't maxed out too.

Care credit won't accept me. I tried when Sadie had her surgery. Weird, right? Care credit accepts everyone - haha... not me. He seems to be acting better. I'm going to monitor him and feed him little bits throughout the day. He seemed to feel much better after that weird poop this morning and he's ...

Please tell me this isn't what I think it is...

I'm really friggin scared and nervous. I've had Dobbyn for about a month and a half now. I adopted him after I had to put Sadie to sleep to help me, and he's been wonderful.. right before Sadie had to be put to sleep (about 3-4 months prior) she had a foreign body removed formed of grass and hair. D...

Typically I'd so No....but a 60lbs puppy, LOL? Then I say go for it! Yeah seriously. He's crazy big already. lol He's bigger than fully-grown 55lb Bogart, and I don't think he's done growing yet. He'll be easy to train-up on a collar and I don't want to get him stuck on anything except for somethin...

Oi! I'm totally in the same boat. Dobbyn is awful with toys. We've limited him to bones, and rubber toys. he only has things under strict supervision. Theres nothing we could get him that is soft either, I don't know what to do. I'll probably search to gough nuts also. We're trying to "everlast...
