Re: PetzLife gel/spray

Thanks MissKiwi! Its very interesting to me that the VOHC doesn't have any toothpastes listed as accepted products... hmmmm. I'll definately get him some greenies. He is a little weird about treats/toys that require chewing but its worth a try. Leslie - Thanks. I do prefer the holistic stuff. PBLove...

Re: PetzLife gel/spray

His teeth aren't terrible but they aren't good imo - the vet isn't concerned. We give him probiotics and spirulina in addition to his old man supplements. I'll look into parsley though, thanks for the tip.

PetzLife gel/spray

Hi, I recently took our older dog (13-14 year old shep mix) to the vet for a checkup. I told the vet I was concerned b/c in the past month or so his breath had gotten really bad. We did bloodwork and everything came back good and consistent with last year's results. She suggested I might try the Pet...

Re:

My all time favorite store is DogGone Natural. They have all the foods you would want. Plus they are a bit damn the man when it comes to the nutritional requirements needed. Which I love that they will give me an honest opinion on ingredients - what is needed, what isn't, etc. The owner is a pet nut...

Re: Christmas present ideas??

I don't like the kongs with the stuff inside either. The stuff inside makes them too high value. And they won't chew them if they are in their kennels so no stuffing for them. I do buy the giagantic black kongs though - they last about 3 months. They destroy the nyla bones and other toys that are ad...

i went to the thrift store and bought Finn a couple of kids hoodies. then when i figured out which one fit him best, in the chest area...i hemmed the sleeves and inserted a draw string in the waist, so once it was on i could tie it up and secure it so he couldnt pee on it. That's what I did too. Bu...

They've only been on about 2 weeks - I'll give it some more time. Hopefully it is this detox period.

Thanks.

No chewing in the kennel

We recently switched to raw. I have given the pit bulls both an ox tail the last few days to chew on while we were away. I thought they would love it - but they ate everything except the bone. They won't chew on the bone while in the kennel. But as soon as I get home they keep trying to take out the...

Terrible Breath on RAW

So we finally switched to raw...

Everything seems to be going pretty well. But man their breath is rank. Any ideas how to get back the puppy breath? Their breath never smelled on kibble or canned food.

schutzhund is a go

This past week I finally got in contact with a couple of the local clubs. I have been emailing about every 3 months for the past 1.5 years to all the local clubs and got two answers this timie - very exciting. Last night I had Angus and Addy Baby evaluated on whether they had the drive needed. They ...

I read some advice from a guy who goes bikejoring with a trio of Akitas. If he vocally names the various critters they see, he can keep them on the trail. "Kitty cat! On by! Bunny rabbit! On by!" I imagine he feels like a dork, but it I guess it works for him. And sometimes it kind of wor...

I like the site - its a cool idea to have an APBT university. I liked that your course information was geared specifically toward some of the problems we commonly see (maybe all breeds see too I dunno but...) Maybe more info or more personal testimonials on why you should do therapy work - why its g...
