Beware Animal Shelters in the States

Please all animal shelter works in the states, this woman brings all of her animals up from the southern shelters or anywhere she can get them as well as pit bulls. She is sick and needs help but refuses to get it, she refuses to adopt out most of her animals and they remain in crates for up to 22 h...

Re: New to the Forum

It is always nice to have new members on this board but I have to say that I don't think you are going to learn anything here. Obviously you don't want to listen to what others have to say and obviously you don't care about the fight that the members who own LEGAL pit bulls have to go through on a r...

Allergic reaction to Advantage

We treated Buddy recently with Advanatage maybe a couple of weeks ago and tonight I noticed when I was trying to brush him that his whole back end seems to have a rash. From the base of his tail up. I am thinking he is having an allergic reaction to the advantage but could it be possible after a few...

Re: Broken Tail?

Well imber tail may be caused by lots of swimming in water that is too cold or too warm, or engaging in heavy exercise of some sort. Buddy gets it a lot as he loves to swim no matter what and can over exercise for his age. Basically it is very painful at the base of the tail and your dog won't be ab...

Re: Broken Tail?

Could be something serious or could be something minor. Best bet is to get him to the vet rather then wait it out, Buddy has this about once a year as he is prone to Beaver Tail but we take him to the vet to be safe as you can never tell.

Re: Hip dysplasia Surgery or No...

He gave 3 options surgery, pain management or euthanasia. He is under 2 is on limited exercise, has his good days and his bad days. My cousin is also worried about the after care if they opt for surgery but are wondering if surgery is a necessary thing or if a dog can live with the pain management f...

Re: Hip dysplasia Surgery or No...

Yes for symptomatic. Not sure of the exact grade at this point but the vet recommended the surgery and said it would be $7000 each hip. He has good days and bad days apparently.

Hip dysplasia Surgery or No...

Thankfully not for Buddy but my cousin's dog has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both hips. They are wondering what people think of the surgery? Should it be done or can a dog live without it? He is young, I think he is about a year and a bit now and is a lab mix. Any suggestions or advice is g...

Re: B.A.R.F. 101

Where do you pick up boneless trim? I mean this dog will eat raw chicken breast, and raw stew beef, and loves his raw bones....especially parading in front of the cats with them. In all honesty i think it is the texture of the ground up stuff that he hates and the smell of the veggies.

Re: B.A.R.F. 101

OK can someone give me some examples of making your own RAW food diet without having to ground it up? I think he is having a problem with the texture as well as I think it is a vegetable that they use as well that he does not like. Any example would be great I cannot keep going with the current stuf...
