Re: Hyaluronic Acid-anyone use this?

Thanks! I have recently been reading more and more about it, and was wondering what others thought. I supplement for preventative maintenance mostly, but I am aware that one of the dogs has iffy hips, and another has knees worth keeping an eye on. I have a hard time getting Morgan to add (all) the s...

Hyaluronic Acid-anyone use this?

Does anyone here use Hyaluronic Acid as a joint supplement for their dogs? If so what are your impressions? usefulness? Do you combine it with other joint supplements? or use it alone? And have you found a less expensive source?

Thanks!

Re: Feeding Adult kibble to a puppy - any problems?

Depends on the kibble. ALS formulas will support puppy growth just fine. As will some of the higher end foods with more protein and fat. Puppy kibble sometimes is actually more prone to cause issues in some pups as it encourages the pup to grow too fast. I have seen more early joint issues in pups f...

Re: Are grain-free diets REALLY grain free?

Just an FYI, there is no correlation between price and value/quality . Price is a way companies "communicate" value. It is one of the "4 Ps" that marketers use to maximize profit, market share, and gross sales. It is, therefore, really important to research any product, if you w...

Re: Feeding Raw

Yeah, the trout is all frozen. We fish, our friends fish, we end up with a crap load of rainbow trout. My dogs won't eat it out of the lake, but I give it to them frozen and they like to gnaw on it.

Re: Feeding Raw

I feed outside. If I feed inside I confine it and mop afterwards.

Question. Does anyone feed fish raw? I have a plethora of rainbow trout and have been giving it in place of the other meat (usually beef or lamb) intermittently. Is there anything I should know?

Re: Are grain-free diets REALLY grain free?

Interesting. Thanks for the info. At work I sell high end dog food and frequently assist clients in finding the right food for their pet. There appears to be a trend in high end kibble towards producing small, tested batches made from all "human quality", USA sourced ingredients. I wonder ...

Re: My shelter is closing... (Long!)

  My shelter was in the same situation. Only I am on the other side: the Board. (though I did work at the shelter for 3yrs). Our issue was poor leadership, and personality issues that prevented the Board from getting anything important done. There are many things that can be done, but it i...
