Re: This is bad, bloody, for those with UTI xp

Thank you for the advice. Will try it. He goes back in like 5 days. There has been good improvement. I have seen no blood, but he still cannot hold it. At all. Isnt von willebrands disease genetic? Is it something that can develop later in life? He is 5 yrs 7 months. In any case he has stopped bleed...

This is bad, bloody, for those with UTI xp

How much did your dog bleed? Bullet has a UTI. SO the vet said, though it seemed they were surprised to see how much he was bleeding. THey did an xray to check for stones. None. So sent us home with anti bacterial meds and anti flamitory. But man is he bleeding. Doesnt look very diluted. Hes had thr...

Re: Cant get mouth to stop bleeding

WOW! what a turn of events. Well... turns out yes his mouth was bleeding from a very very small cut, but the location fell right where his canine ended so he kept making it bleed. I thought all the blood came from his mouth bc it was mainly on his from legs and the cut was bleeding a good deal. So, ...

Re: Cant get mouth to stop bleeding

Just trying to avoid that trip for the moment. No worries, I will never allow a situation to get life threa...

Cant get mouth to stop bleeding

Went to let Bullet out the kennel and found his two blankets pretty much covered in blood. I found a small cut on inside of his upper lip. No clue how he did this being in his kennel all night. Any thing safe enough to put on it to get it to stop? :yipee: :run: <put those on for my 2 yr old to see, ...

Re: I never want an Aussie again. Ever.

Aussies are great dogs, not typically OCD. I love the herding breeds! I have had a few foster Aussies (purebreds) and they are typically very intelligent so they get bored easily. Puzzle toys would be great for him. Stuff a kong or another puzzle type cube or toy, and let him do that. And yes, try ...

Re: I never want an Aussie again. Ever.

Contact your local Aussie rescue, he sounds a typical Aussie. Keep in mind they were bred to be with people 24/7 - isolating him in his own kennel is not going to help. If anything he will get more neurotic. He is just desperate to work and if you can't find him something to do he will make his own...

I never want an Aussie again. Ever.

Granted hes a pretty cool dog but wow he is absolutely annoying. Okay so where to begin with behavior issues... first off lets see... hes only here temporarily. I have three pit bulls, a maltese, a child, and six other ppl (including me) who live here. (damn inlaws live with us. ugh) Okay so my dogs...

HOUSTON, Found Pit Bull needs a home, euth pending :(

Well my friend found a pit bull in her yard a few weeks back and no one has claimed him. No shelter around here will take him or they will just euthanize him. This is what I am told. My friend had three pit bulls and an infant and cannot keep him. She found him a temporary home, but they tell her th...

Re: Two Weeks! Give em a break! :0 )

well it seems he is afraid to be outside. He played fetch with a frisbee in my front yard for abut 5 mins and then he was at the door trying to get in.
