I have never hit my dog. I play spank him on his butt. But from the moment I brought him home, I let EVERYONE who was to be in my house or around him, not to ever lay a hand on him. Or even to play rough with him(e.i. grab and shake his head or annoy him on purpose to get aggression out of him.) My ...

Well he's not biting at it 24/7, not even alot, just every couple days I'll notice it. He doesn't look miserable, and it isn't disrupting his daily routines, like playing or sleeping... but I have already made an appointment for this weekend. I hope its nothing serious...

Itchy back

Ok, Spike has been knawing at his back for a while now, and tonight I noticed it's bloodshot red in the areas he's been biting at. There's no hair loss in the area, he does have dry skin, but he's been getting Grizzly Salmon oil for that, and its mainly at the base of his tail. I haven't noticed any...

That makes alot of sense to me, because our previous pit pup was the same way, and he's was a big baby, but just didn't like to be on his back. But my mini schnauzer will lay belly up anytime you want her to, but she's been like that from the day we brought her home. Starting to think it is just pre...

A Trust Issue...

I have been trying to get my 8 week puppy to trust me or feel comfortable while he's on his back and so far he's very stubborn. I've had him for a little over 2 weeks now, and while he's playing he'll lay on his back for me and I'll rub his belly. But when I try to hold him while on his ba...

That's what I was wondering. :huh?: My plan was when I let my mini out and about, I would baby gate the kitchen and place the new pup in there. But I read something about face to face interactions in the article, so I figured that would be out of the question. Plus my mini is very excitable, so I wo...

I'm bringing a new addition home tomorrow and I plan on applying this advice, but I have one question. I already have a resident dog (1 1/2 mini schnauzer), so how do I go about with her? Do I need to crate her for almost 2 weeks while the new pup is out? I hope thats not the case because I feel she...

Roaches Feed and Seed- Garland TX (DFW area)

They sell premium dog foods. I buy Nutra there, and they have a good selection of toys and other dogs products. They also have stuff for other animals (horses, rabbits, cats, etc)
