If you're unfamiliar with her breed mix it may be best to avoid using the ace. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acepromazine#Potential_adverse_effects_in_dogs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Also, there is this: "Research has shown these drugs functions primarily as chemical restrain...

We can't diagnose or treat medical problems over the internet. Three days is a long time to let something like that go. Call your vet and get her in ASAP.

Re: how much do you feed your dog per feeding?

It depends almost entirely on the brand of food, the weight of your dog, and their activity level. It's best to start out with the general guidelines you see printed on your bag of dog food, and adjust from there as you observe your dog.

Re: Introduction and looking for help..

Thank you for wanting to help this dog. It could be that his behavior would change drastically and improve if he were in a good environment for 2-3 weeks. That's the result everyone hopes for when they rescue a dog. It's also possible with a lot of hard work and commitment that he could be manageabl...

Re: Plop, plop, poop

Sorry if this seems obvious, but have you tried canned pumpkin yet? Clearly you want to rule out any medical cause for the issue, but canned pumpkin is a pretty cheap, yummy, and healthy way to increase fiber and firm things up.

Re: raw bones? what is safe?

I go for the marrow bones that still have a bit of meat on the outside (my grocery store sells them as "soup bones"). Moira likes to chew off the meat and work out the marrow, but she won't chew or swallow any of the actual bone.

Re: Gaining Weight

she only eats once a day, and the amount hasn't changed in a very long time. shes not a chow hound at all, and some nights, she even leaves a little bit of food in her bowl. Feed her twice a day, would be my suggestion. Measure exactly how much you're giving her at each feeding - and if she is leav...

Re: Hello there!

Red, Taffys_Angel, lilangel and a few others have found a muzzle that they're really happy with but I can't for the life of me find the darn link from my phone. Is it this one? http://www.petexpertise.com/dog-training-aids/baskerville-ultra-dog-muzzle.html?gclid=CLeNhamdqq8CFUfc4AodtB2gaQ" onclick=...

Re: Hello there!

There is no harm at all in teaching your dog to accept wearing a muzzle. There are many times in his life where it may be necessary, and if he is comfortable with wearing it that will make things all the better for him (and you!). http://www.morrco.com/trdogtowemu.html" onclick="window.open(this.hre...
