Re: Starter muzzle?

I would go for a mesh dog muzzle and use the treat in muzzle to teach him to wear it ;) keep it simple might want to even let him sleep with the muzzle just to let him get use to that funny thing lol

Re: Dogs killed another animal and I'm getting tired of it a

Fence fighting is common DOG behavior, if dogs are allowed the opportunity to run the fence with neighbor dogs.... it has very little to do with the specific breed. I work in a busy vet clinic, and have seen numerous dogs brought in for injuries sustained through fences, the offending dogs are vary...

Re: My pitbull is shy and scared HELP!!! :(

:goodpost:

make sure you don't force this little guy to do anything, it will end up doing more harm then good, go slow with everything. And if i understand correct you took of the leash while in public? I won't do that either if i were you, dogs that are scared can easily run away, get hit by a car.

Re: TRAINERS TOLD ME TO EUTHANIZE!

:goodpost: I second that, get another professional to help you, and make sure you are agreeing 100% with the decision, I own a dog that is so dog agressive it can be very difficult at times. Good luck, hope you stick around here, you can learn so much! I used an e collar, or a head halter for my gir...

Re: PeePoop out of control

I didn't see the crate as something good too until i realised that my pup sees it as his home as ''her'' place. Its good for a little pup to be in a crate, she can just rest and not get into trouble lol good luck with your little guy, the first months are hard!

Re: Another sit means sit trainer abusing dogs

People like that will never change, there are so many video's on you tube with people doing this type of ''training'' and thinking it actually works. My father trained police dogs, his dogs who got rewarded with a hamburger were 200% better then the other ''trainers'' on there that used pain to make...

Re: Help, my dog was attacked in California

Sadly this could have been avoided, dogs of any breed don't belong in a dogpark. I would go to the vet and get both vaccinated, even if you did it yourself, and registrate them. I think america (I live in europe) is stupid having people registrate their animals, but it is the law. And responsible pi...

I second, dont force your dog on its back the dog can get scared, confused and agressive because it feels like its been backed into a corner.

Re: Piper snapped at someone today, What to do?

Poor piper I am pretty sure its because she doesn't feel well, give her big hug from me. I would talk to the vets there, and take precautions from now on, like a soft muzzle..

Re: Shock Collars..?

Just buy a long line and a good harness, and attach that harness (use a clasp, like they use for climbing) to a good fitted collar. please, don't use a shock collar not only is it cruel, its useless, dog don't understand that they are being ''punished'' they can understand good behavior, try making ...

Re: Favorite winter doggie clothes?

I currently am using ''cozydog'' overalls on my girl, and i'm very happy with them. Heard good things about Hurtta too! My girl has been wearing a weatherbeeta wintercoat for the last 5 years for the days which a overall isn't necessary and the quality is great, it isn't too expensive and its very w...

Re: Personality change after spay?

The only change I saw in my girl, is that her increase in appetite, she can eat a horse and still be hungry, she was already dog agressive and she actually calmed down a bit, around some dogs.
