we switched Molly to this stuff... the website is here Fromm is actually about a mile from where I grew up- the "factory" is actually in a barn. ANYWAY... Molly, who we know is allergic to grains, has developed pretty bad dandruff. I want to add salmon oil but there's some already in the f...

how do you know when hips are getting bad?

so... Molly and I are training for a marathon together. Last weekend we ran 15 miles, she has three more long runs and a total of about 220 more miles to run with me in the next 54 days. I have her on 500mg a day of Glucosamine and her food has bits of it as well. She's happy to run and while I've s...

cold ears?

not sure if this is a "health" or "equipment" question... sorta both. the windchill is -15 and while Molly wears Musher's Secret and a coat, her ears get super cold. I've tried using a neck gaitor fleece thing to cover 'em but she always shakes it off. She doesn't seem to mind th...

these all sound like great ideas. Molly did eat her food- after some coaxing- and she went for her morning run. She's acting down in the dumps but she's not whimpering and she's still moving around. We'll ring up the vet just to see what they say, but putting together the great info y'all have poste...

she came with us- it was a 5 hr drive to go run in the woods while we xc skied. this morning, she's not eating her food- which she usually swallows whole. we're really concerned! she doesn't have any bumps or rash but clearly she's not feeling well. Is this vet-trip-worthy? Or will it pass once thos...

ahhh! see, this is why PBF rocks.

she usually eats Timberwolf Bison. now that i think of it, we've never had her on pork food- she went from EVO to to one bag of Nature's Variety lamb & rice (made her fart alot) to TW.

licking paws, not as perky, is molly sick?

We were on vacation last weekend and Molly got her first cheapie grocery store bones (pig shins, i think they were) and her first sleeping in front of a fireplace. aside from that, just the usual. we got home and she pooped in the house on Monday. REALLY unusual for her. Today, she pooped twice in t...

Molly gets knuckle bones or the Merrick MOAB or Sarge all the time. The only thing I'd warn you about is when they break off little pieces. It can become a choking problem, so we just toss them when they're smaller than we're comfortable with. Remember that dogs in the wild ate like this, so they kn...

i bought the gentle leader and all it did was rub Molly on the belly till she bled (where the leash clipped to the o-ring). It worked ok for maybe 20 min but she just didn't care.

i got Jeffers' "Waterproof Woof Quilted Wrap Coat" and it's TERRIBLE. It's held on in the back by elastic bands that you have to put around the dog's rear legs that rubs in the crotch... no good since my girl and i run 5 mi a day. Can someone confirm whether the Chilly Dogs have those stup...
