jlphilli, I noticed you feed Iams. I used to feed my pup, Zane, Science diet. After I dug into this forum I came to realize that Science Diet was a really bad choice and essentially like feeding my dog fast food every day / every meal. Iams falls into the same category (lower quality) as Science Die...

If it were me, I would stick with TOTW. The two premium dog food stores nearest me highly recommend it and I've heard a good number of people rave about the results they see in their animals. The owner of one of the stores recommends it over higher priced foods and feeds his own hairless terrier TOT...

I recall reading in one of the many threads about food / nutrition that quality of diet can have an impact on eye boogs (as well as a plethora of other issues). My personal experience has affirmed the claim. We used to abuse our pets by feeding Science Diet - an abuse I will forever feel horrible ab...

Zane gets kibble in the AM and raw in the evening. Kibble: Timberwolf Bison (Expensive these days) or Call of the Wild. Zane does really well on either. He gets a single pump of salmon oil in his kibble. Raw: We chose Natures Variety patties based on the fact that it is a balanced / complete diet, c...

Also - note the dates of the articles are JUNE of 2008. I would suggest to readers of this forum that you do more research on this site and others before coming to any conclusions about any dog food or type of diet. What is reasonable and feasible for one dog / owner may not work for another dog / o...

This recall is over. It has been months. Timberwolf resolved the issue - very quickly - last summer. Your local shop owner is about 6 months behind and needs to get some updated info. For more detailed info check the Timberwolf website. You might consider editing - if possible - your thread subject ...

Wart on my pup's face

Hey All, Zane has what could be, from the looks of it, a wart on the side of his face. It developed from a very small scratch that I think he received from either a a nippy and nervous Boston Terrier or Blue Heeler (both dogs are ill mannered and untrained annoying little runts). After a few days my...

Daily food rotation ?? Good ?? Not Good ??

I'm curious to see what some of diet expert have to say about a the idea of feeding a different (but high quality) kibble every day of the week. My idea; Timberwolf Elk & Salmon - Monday Natures Variety - Tuesday Merrick - Wednesday Canidae - Thursday Something akin to what I have above. Maybe f...

Zane

Hey all, We (Wife, The Boy and myself) added an awesome APBT male to the family. We rescued him from a shelter in DeKalb IL (Tails) at 12 weeks of age and he is now 5 months and doing very well. He's a black and white (mostly black) and has a great personality. He's a touch on the submissive side bu...
