Looking for home in St. Louis Area

Does anyone have a place in their heart for this guy? His name is Cutter. He is 1 1/2 years old and currently owned by the neighbor of a coworker. Owners just had preemie twins and are not coping well at all with the responsibilities of owning both a dog and infants :po: , I am told they generally a...

Re: urinating in the house

I just ran into this very issue with Aries. She is a 6 year year old female. She never had housebreaking issues previously, but noticed wet spots on the couch and else where. We honestly thought it was her licking her anal glands, but then the other day, she was laying on a hardwood floor and I noti...

Sometimes it takes awhile......., but it is well worth it. I would definately look at rescue for a puppy. I know in Missouri, I often have rescuses call me asking if I know anyone that might be able to take a litter of unwanted pups. In fact, I have 3 rescues myself, and all 3 were 10 weeks and unde...

I have a soft spot for brindles. Your dogs look beautiful. How did you come upon rescue? Did you find Zeus or did he find you?

Diamond Naturals is a decent food. I'd stay away from their other lines though. That's what I'd say, too - Kirkland is most similar to Diamond Naturals. I could be wrong, however, I believe Diamond actually manufactures the Kirkland Brand foods. I think I remember because they produced the Kirkland...

They actually don't seem fishy at all to me. Allowing someone strange to come in and handle animals who they know may have little to no experience handling dogs is risky. They may not have staff enough to baby sit the photographer to make sure he/she doesn't do something stupid and get bit or allow...

Are such policies the norm in other areas?

Are these policies in effect anywhere else? Seems a bit fishy to me...... I was wondering if it was just my shelter, or if these are typical?

I cant tell you what it is but frankly, id call teh police and file a police report on the assumption someone tried to poison your dogs. I would call the police and they will have to test it as part of their investigation. From now on, no doggies outside unattended. As sad as it is, until you know,...

He didn't eat the entire sandal though. Just the straps and he is now drinkin water. Unfortunately, rationalizing not going to the vet is not going to help. Best case scenario, you go to the vet and everything is well and it was just a scare, worst case, you don't go to the vet and your does dies f...

Aries gets 4 cups, and Lucy and Gemini each get 3 cups all with a teaspoon of yogurt on top. I am currently feeding the Maxximuum Nutrition Lamb and Rice formula.

Ear Injury Question

My girls were in the yard playing as they always do, and apparently, someone got a canine to go through the end of Aries's ear leaving a little hole. I would guess from the wound, it apparently happened about 2 days ago (I just noticed it last night). There was no blood that I could find anywhere (o...

Hmmm, not sure those pictures are too helpful, but it could be one of many things. It could be mange, fleas, allergy to food to environment, etc. I would check with your vet and have them take a look. APBT are definately known for skin issues. As for the Science Diet, I am sure they told you it is g...
