I would like to crate him at work but I don't want him to be surrounded by the chemicals that are usually in the air that come from the spray booth. Let alone a lot of the pollutants that come from the tailpipes of cars. And I honestly would feel bad to crate him for 10hrs straight, where would he t...

Cboy, it can certainly be frustrating trying to work and take care of a high energy pup. You taking him to training shows your dedication to him. Dogs go through a pretty crazy stage, but with some consistency and lots of patience it will pass. Bruno is still a very young puppy, and his age is a di...

Well sorry for such a late response guys. This past weekend was no good for me, I'm pulling in about 60hrs a week(as a mechanic) at work and quite honestly don't have the energy to drive that far. Sad to say but it seems to me the older Bruno is getting(at this point) the more destructive he gets. S...

Oh yeah on a side note, although some of you may hate what I'm about to say. The remote collar seems to work the best for Bruno with his jumping issue, and keep in mind people I NEVER SHOCK HIM, I merely use the noise pitch option to correct him.

Okay guys sorry for the late response but please read my original post carefully rather then skimming over it. For: 1) Bruno is currently 7 months going on 8 months. 2) He's had all his vaccines and has been "fixed" not too long ago. 3) He's never had an issue with biting other than your t...

Yes but I'm not on here frequently to keep myself updated. I am in dying need of I guess further training from a fellow Pit bull owner. Please email me a contact number and I shall provide the same. CPMENACE1@HOTMAIL.COM is my email address.

-Bruno bit someone!-

So last Saturday before a training session at Petsmart I was waiting on the class before me. So I was standing with my dog minding my own business when I see this dog approaching from the rear barking and making all kinds of noise so I turned around to take a look to see if the dog wouldn't be a pro...

No, nothing wrong with waiting till that age. Let me know when you want to meet.I hate LA, people cannot drive there so perhaps we can meet half away somewhere. Yeah I'm down to meet anytime let's say after the holidays/new years. Which is only about 3 weeks away, so atleast by then he'll have more...

Wow thanks dude that was really resourceful, and yeah it's true I used the e-collar because it works and so far was the only thing that's worked for him. I talked to my trainer last weekend during a session about what was said on this forum, and the only thing he could say was people just have a mis...

I mean I guess you guy's have a point but I'm just trying to avoid a lawsuit if Bruno were to ever jump on someone at Petsmart and potentially cause an injury. Cause there's a good number of elderly people there and the last thing I want is for Bruno to jump on them and show "affection." L...

Well keep in mind people we never shocked Bruno, we only used the pitch noise to correct him so I don't see the harm? And our trainer is awesome, he's always concerned with Bruno even when I'm there to just shop. He actually favors Bruno a lot from all the dog's he's had in his classes overall cause...

That's odd. Petsmart trainers, as far as I know, aren't supposed to recommend that stuff. Dogs learn when they have a certain collar on they can't do certain things. Take it off, and they do them. That's why it's not always effective. Isn't Bruno just a baby? I wouldn't put a shock collar on a youn...

-Remote shock/correction collars?-

So Bruno has been with his Petsmart trainer for nearly 3 month's now and he's a GREAT dog but the one and only problem he has is jumping. When he meets and greets people he loves to jump on them as if he's about to climb on top of them. At certain times it frustrates both me and his trainer plus oth...

Thanks guys for all your help, quick question though has anyone's dog gone through a few blankets, pillows, and clothes? I remember reading a post/reply in one of my threads regarding Bruno shivering, and with that said someone replied something like "he wouldn't rip up or rip off clothes if he...
