Thanks!

Malaseb...I'll have to check that out. Is it similar to Nizoral, which is a human antifungal shampoo for dandruff and psoriasis? Or is it that stuff you get from the vet??? The name sounds familiar but I just can't place it!

Ticks still send me over the edge! Way more than worms...even more than puppies puking up worms :yucky: They are perhaps only slightly less gross than maggots. My old bullie had them ONCE when he was 13 years old. I didn't even notice as I'd never had them on any of my dogs EVER. Never even seen a t...

Foot fetish...aka allergy toes - help!!

While I sort out Jammie Slammie's allergies, she has managed to chew her toes raw. You know...she has the classic fungus red, itchy feet of bullies! It's not food she's allergic to, but something outside as it's the worst when she returns in from walks. We're drying her toes, and giving her antihist...

Curious - what do you need a weight for? Right now, he is good with other dogs, but he is an adolescent male, so that most likely will change. I'd assume he'll be selective when he matures. He weighs about 65 pounds'ish. No one can resist him - even the bully "haters" love him! :inlove: :))

lol We don't have Presidents...actually Prime Ministers!!! :)) He does look probably from a breeder but honestly we rarely get these types of dogs around here. The few I have seen are always purchased from kennels in the States. On the second go around, when someone else was handling him, I noticed ...

Seriously people... how about actually TALKING to your vet, saying hey, I think my dogs will behave better with me in the room, so can we try it my way first? If not, then I'll let you take the pup in the back where expert handlers can get the treatment done in a hurry... I agree. I won't continue ...

He looks very "mixey" to me (and very cute!) Heck if he showed up at our shelter, he'd be a Shep/Rottie mix pup suddenly lol He'd be snapped up in a second!!

I can't believe he hasn't found a home yet. He is the uber cutest...

Oh, and I also wanted to add, if the vet isn't willing to let you watch, makes me wonder what methods they're using on your dog? Seriously though, if they know the dog is sound and won't bite, and you are collected too - why take it away from the owner? I've seen some pretty unnecessary rough stuff ...

I just got a new vet that likes to take Jammie "into the back." To be honest, I find it really disturbing too. In fact it bothered me so much that I thought next time I'm going to tell her I prefer to stay with my dog, or have the treatment done in the exam room. If they won't do that, I'l...

He was a stray - no id, tattoo or microchip. Nobody came looking for him either so I figure they think he was probably stolen or something. I'm sure someone probably bought him and had him shipped up from some Stateside kennel as we don't get this "look" of bullies around here. We still ge...

Oh, I just got back to work after a 3 month strike and we have the most gorgeous boy in the shelter!!! Okay, we just don't get bullies that look like this every day for sure. He's a total love and attention sucking machine. He's got that kind of "gangsta" look the general public are totall...

If it's an insect bite, the Benadryl will help. But if it's a tooth infection or nasal infection, your dog needs to get into the vet pronto! Interior facial cavity infections can quickly become nasty messes that will give you a very, very sick dog quickly.

Environmental is my guess. Whether it's indoors or outdoors, who knows, but my money is on outside. When I take my dog back home, his allergies clear up really well. Soon as he's back on the coast, itchiness and hives. Different vegetation/molds/dust causes different reactions. If it is an outdoor r...
