I would be calling the shelter and asking if they have room for a housebroken male, does he do dishes? That would increase the BF chances of being adopted. roflmao too bad it's his house..... It sounds like you do have an awkward situation with your house layout. How many bedrooms an...

Maybe Manolo needs to be crated whenever you leave. It kinda seems like the BF might not garner much respect. Since it would appear that you are a long term member, I bet you already do these things, but since you are trying to re-home your dog I'm going to offer anyways. Do you NILF? With a dog be...

Why ask for advice if you are going to get snotty and defensive? Ok, I am sorry for sounding defensive. I did ask for advice, and that is what was given. I guess I didn't say that we have tried nearly everything. Behaviorists, obedience, walking, you name it. And somehow every couple of months, I a...

Manolo in need of home

This absolutely breaks my heart to write this. I have decided that trying to find Manolo a new home is what is best for him. He is 4 years old, beautiful fawn and white, and just can't get along with my oldest dog. I have tried everything. And as soon as I leave the house and my boyfriend takes over...

OK, just to update Found a Animal Behaviorist in my region. He actually trains wild animals at a local attraction, as well as dogs. He came in, listened to both me and my bf, while allowing the dogs to interact...together... without incident  Then we all went for a walk, something Billy ha...

He doesn't growl at people, he's very people friendly. He growls at Mia when she tries to get attention that he is getting, when she gets over excited, barks, etc. He does on occasion growl when he is cranky, at night, at us. But seriously, I don't feel like he is growling with biting intention- at ...

So... the second big fight (in all of 2 years) happened last weekend. I was at work, I get a call from the boyfriend. He says the two males, Cane and Nolo got into a fight. Since we have issues with our neighbor, we have had to take the dogs out on a leash one at a time to go potty... mind you in ou...

Ok update. Sorry for the long repose, but works been h-e double hockey stick lately. The neighbor actually came over to me and apologized for what he had said. Apparently he went to the Humane Society ( to get another cat ...) and was raving about his neighbor's killer pit bulls when the HS lady rip...

Just got back from speaking with my vet, she said that he cannot do anything other than notify AC what happened. And that since no one saw anything, and my dogs never left my property, it's his fault because his cat came into our yard. Now, had the dogs jumped the fence, got the cat, kumped back ove...

They got the cat out, and it was alive as of last night, they were taking it to the vet. But i don't know if it's ok or not, and I'm not very inclined to go ask.
