I love that you do compassion cases, lately I am starting to think this is what I am doing with my own rescue dog, and it brought tears to my eyes to see that your group is so selfless as to take on and do this over and over. Thank you!

Does anyone have rescue contacts in New England?

All of my fosters are full, and my lease is only approved for two dogs at my apartment. There is a person who keeps posting a pitbull that they claim "isn't even theirs" on Craigslist and saying the dog absolutely has to go. They also are getting rid of a 2 month old pit puppy. Both are ma...

Deer Antlers

I know that you can buy deer antlers as a chew toy online for dogs - I'm curious is this just unprocessed antler? The reason I ask is my boyfriend's father just killed a rather large buck the other day - loaded us up on fresh venison - and I'm wondering if I can ask him for the antlers, cut them int...

This warning has been circulating since early 2003 I believe. I doubt they are still doing anything. It may have been earlier than that when I first saw it. They still are doing it, I work for a rescue group and we had a request from them to adopt animals just the other day. Hence the reason for th...

Adding another props to the midwest line! Also I HAVE to have a metal crate for Boogey - the plastic with metal door crates do not work for him, he is strong enough that he leans into the metal door until the hinges bend and he can pop it out of the plastic. If you have a strong dog you m...

Yes the dogs both get fed in their respective crates - avoids any spats over food.

Re: Unfortunately.....

I don't thnk it will change. Dogs that go through such trauma by living in a very small space just have to do what they ahve to do. Is there any way you can forget the crate? Is he destructive? Could you try an extra large crate and put a potty pad in there? I know he'll probably eat it but maybe, ...

Peeing in Crate...

I'm curious to pull some others input here - Boogeyman, as I have mentioned before was a rescue of mine who previous to my getting him had only EVER lived in a tiny crate outside his whole life. Due to this he has had to set aside the natural instinct to not mess in his den, and use his crate as a b...

I just want to say BRAVO on the pinch collar discussion...it's a big pet peeve of mine. I prefer the smaller collar, the large heavy ones are too big and generally will not stay in position. Thank you. So I would just go and get a small one, but buys some extra prong links if it is too small around...

You can also use flour if you do not have any Quick-Stop type product handy. I've heard its actually preferable because the Quick-Stop has a tendency to sting and the flour does not.

Whenever a mod gets in here and starts doling out access... perhaps you could bribe them with old lady pit pictures?
