Re: No, seriously, keep your puppy out of the trash

Awesome job!!! Yay!!! :nana: :nana: Glad to know the pup was well behaved and was calm enough to let a total stranger go digging into her mouth. Its funny the things you don't realize you need to learn when you adopt your first dog/puppy. Like how to stick your hand into their mouths to fish out chi...

Re: spring pole

Re: I need to know about the game...

My puppy thinks everything is a tug toy :huh?: and he "gives" but just when I have his actual toy.. when he grabs on my sleeve tugging with it , I tell "give" and he wont... he does this constantly.. :crybaby: Your pup is young and you have to be consistent for the next couple o...

Re: spring pole

At 7 months - be very careful putting him on the spring pole. He still has very tender gums and teeth and his joints and bones are still soft and can break. He can get seriously hurt if he falls down off the spring pole. Most dogs love to tug because the competition drives them. And I'm sure he love...

Re: Taste of the Wild

We just switched over to TOTW the herring and salmon one and its really smelly but they seem to LOVE it. They were on B. G. - Chicken and Salmon formula. They seem to be doing pretty good on it.

We alternate with feeding raw.

Hemorrhoids?

Riot has been licking and over all just seems to be bothered by his behind. We've seen him dragging his bum across the grass and at times across the rugs and carpets. I've looked to see if there is maybe so poop left over but I never see anything. Only a slight raw and swollen area around his anus a...

Re: I need to know about the game...

As with what everyone else has stated teaching an "out" or "drop it" & "leave it" command is great. Especially if your pup has the tug/spring pole drive. I agree with both lilangel and Tiva - sometimes having a slack rope will cause a dog to drop the rope - however ...

Hahahaha.....

Now you guys have me looking at Brina's thing-ee to see if hers looks normal. It isn't sticking out but is very...noticeable. No wonder Riot's always sniffing at it.

Re: OMG! He ate chocolate!

No one knows every thing about any thing, neither do they know anything about every thing. But this doesn't mean they don't think they do.You just have to know enough about something to know that nobody knows as much as you know about everything else... OMG - I got it!! I got it. Couldn't have stat...

Re: Fight - Please help

You do have to be a warden. You are the boss of the household aren't you? You are the leader and you have to instill in your dogs - whose boss and who sets down the rules. This does not necessarily mean that you have to be heavy handed but fair and strong-minded. These dogs will rule the house if yo...
