Re: 1 yr Anniversary

Thanks! Louis and Finnigan both love the beach, and although Louis doesn't swim yet, he does brave the waves like the brave trooper that he is, to fetch sticks out of the water. He is awesome, and the boys really do like each other which is nice since Finnigan lost his Angie girl to cancer.

1 yr Anniversary

Since I found Louis abandoned in the desert in Nevada, with a raging ear infection-obliterated ear canal. Well, its a year later, and he is doing great! I couldn't have asked for a better dog than Louis! :inlove: :peace: Louis and his best buddy/housemate Finnigan http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/...

Re: ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

Here are pictures. My fingers are crossed. The lady who found her is torn. She really likes this dog, but if he is illegal (being as he's a year or so old) if anyone questioned her on him, he'd be taken away, would he not? Yes he would....and killed. No joke. Good looking dog :inlove: but he needs ...

Re: How to reach a dog in meltdown

I think the others summed it up. Remove the dog from the other stimuli for now. The handler should start to build attention span, communication, self control....a rapport and trust FIRST.......then gradually move to distractions.

Re: Control Yourself!

Indeed, a fact I've known to be true for many years. Work the mind, structure and discipline the mind and self control. Which is why I find basic obedience to be a funamental and important part of any dog's upbringing. :)
