Re: California Naturals...need new food help fast

Well, I went to the pet store and made the decision to try her on a small bag of Taste of the Wild. I've heard a lot of people say their dogs do well on it and decided to try it. The ingredients looked good and the bag had a specific blurb on the back about digestion etc. She seems to like the way i...

California Naturals...need new food help fast

So last night,a few hours after feeding Kaia, she began barfing. She was VERY gassy. I would even say abnormally gassy. She kept barfing all throughout the night and into the morning. I took her to the vet and he took some xrays and said she has a very large buildup of gas inside her. He has a name ...

I guess I really have no clue about the Nature's Variety brand raw bones. When I give Kaia raw bones, which is pretty frequent, I just go down to the local butcher shop and ask to by raw dog bones. She loves em and spends hours and hours on them.

alergy?

So Kaia sometimes puts her back feet in her mouth. She in not licking them constantly and they re not red. I ve been reading around here where dogs chew on their feet when they have an allergy. She is currently being fed Canidae and seems to like it. Should I be concerned?

Really, Veronica loves prescription diet? My vet pushes that stuff and I won't touch the stuff unless I have to. I used it when Kaia came down with parvo, but that was the only time.

While I understand not wanting to spend a whole lot on food, I do not understand not throwing another 8 dollars in and get a big bag of Canidae for 38 dollars. Just my opinion. I've been through a bunch of foods from petco, and I am happy with Canidae.

UPDATE: Well, Kaia has had 2 more accidents. It is currently 4 days after surgery. Yesterday I took her in to the vet and he seemed to think, just by symptoms, that she had a stress UTI. Kaia has been on Cefalexin since yesterday afternoon (friday). I too am glad to hear that it is somewhat normal f...

Spay inconsistency or UTI

Well, after a couple days of having Kaia spayed, I thought things were going great. However, tonight, she had 2 accidents. She would go to the door, sit down as to go out, and then pee. No warning or anything. I've read on the the forums about something called "spay inconsistency." I canno...

With Kaia, she started out when I got her with Beneful...yuk! She then went onto Nutromax puppy formula, and again, I wouldn't feed this to her ever again. Then she went to Canidae, and I have noticed a big difference her coat and her stools. She does really well on it and when I was switching her o...

Wait, am I reading this correctly? Now you have him permanently tethered to your gate. Please do not permanently tether your dog to your gate and say that is enough exercise. I understand what you are saying about your culture, however, I grew up in Hawaii and had tons of friends that were from the ...

just got the spay

Well, Kaia got spayed today. She is 6 months old. I picked her back up this afternoon and I can tell she is very uncomfortable. She is really doped up on post-op morphine and pretty wobbly on her feet. She is whining constantly. This is my first time going through all of this. I know it is probably ...

Ear plugs. My Kaia snores a lot, and farts as well. Fortunately for me, I would not be able to sleep if she was not snoring. It gives peace of mind. Both of us are light sleepers, so if she is awake, startled, or stops snoring, I automatically wake up.
