Re: Pit bulls as service dogs?-Denver & Aurora

Wow, they are really trying to take on the ADA? If our system is just, there should be no question of allowing service animals, regardless of breed. If I had a service dog, I would be suing their @sses. That's on my agenda for when I get back to CO from holiday. Here is the letter I sent to each of...

Re: California Naturals...need new food help fast

Well, I went to the pet store and made the decision to try her on a small bag of Taste of the Wild. I've heard a lot of people say their dogs do well on it and decided to try it. The ingredients looked good and the bag had a specific blurb on the back about digestion etc. She seems to like the way i...

California Naturals...need new food help fast

So last night,a few hours after feeding Kaia, she began barfing. She was VERY gassy. I would even say abnormally gassy. She kept barfing all throughout the night and into the morning. I took her to the vet and he took some xrays and said she has a very large buildup of gas inside her. He has a name ...

I don't know if this would help, but could you exersize him more? I know my dog will get kinda whiny and antsy if she doesn't get to run. I have a hand held tennis ball thrower that she loves and it's a good bonding thing too. I play 45 minutes of long ball fetch at least two times a day. It helps. ...

take a couple steps back in potty training. he's gonna have a slip up now and again. not to repeat, but excitable urination is not controlable. When he pee's outside, give him ton's of praise. When I trained my girl, I gave her so much praise that after about 3 or 4 times peeing outside, she would w...

How much exersize does he get? I have found that not giving enough can spark stuff like this. While it could be SA, it could also be that he has a lot of pent up energy and is taking it out on anything he can get his mouth around. I'm fortunate enough to live on a good bit of land so I take my dog o...

I don't know, maybe I just was lucky with Kaia. She loves to get her nails trimmed. I've been doing it myself since i got her at 3 months. Everytime she hears me cut a nail her tail starts wagging intensely, so I have to give her praise then I guess. Who knows...she's a strange one.

Crate training Kaia was a blessing in disguise. She didn't sleep with me till she was about 1 year old. It also helped tremendously with potty training. It sucked because I would wake up every couple of hours to take her out so she didn't potty in the crate, but it paid off. I can only think of 4 or...

Natural Ability?

So several times a day I play "long ball fetch" with Kaia. I have a tennis ball launcher and live on quite a bit of land, so she can sprint a long ways out for those balls. She loves it. Part of the property has some somewhat dense brush, and no matter where I put one of those balls, she'l...

I guess I really have no clue about the Nature's Variety brand raw bones. When I give Kaia raw bones, which is pretty frequent, I just go down to the local butcher shop and ask to by raw dog bones. She loves em and spends hours and hours on them.

I've had a similar experience in the sense that I was fortunate with my pup. She is extremely smart, doesn't chew, or bark excessively. When I started teaching her come, I actually taught stay and come at the same time. I thought it may be overload, but she caught on really fast. I would tell the pu...

Kaia is a little over a year old and obviously still such a puppy. However, she has only just now gotten over that. She was mostly over it but when my friend Noah comes to visit, she loses it. Only with him though. however, I think she's finally over it.
