Awww, Zila is gorgeous. :inlove: It's been a month post-op and Cash is still on 3 legs. We have our follow-up in 3 weeks so we will see if we are cleared for longer walks then. He is still on leash outside, and is as lazy as ever in the house. He had his meniscus also repaired in the surgery. I'm no...

Fortunately, Cash is a lazy dog in the house which is why I'm not too concerned. He is not allowed up on the furniture right now, and no stairs. I have a good system going for now. His pee breaks in the backyard are leashed and would amount to close to 5 minutes at a time. Our yard is about a 1/2 ac...

At two weeks out are you on leashed 5 minute walks yet? Good luck to you and Cash! Thanks! He has been taking leased pee breaks in our yard, but we aren't taking him out for real walks yet because it is so slippery out, and the last thing I need is for Cash to slip on an ice patch. We have been restricting his activity, and it seems to be healing well. The incision looks good, and ther...

I am glad to hear that you are considering all of your options for finding the right dog. Here are a couple of fantastic pit rescues in your area. I would send them a quick email to introduce yourself, and let them know the type of dog that you are intrested in. They know the dogs in thei...

Welcome to PBF! :) I think it is wonderful that you are taking the time to research before jumping in and getting a dog. If more people took the time to do that, I doubt that there would be as many homeless animals. It's a hard call to say which dog would be better for your home. The Rotti girl is s...
