Re: Questions about Spaying through a Shelter

We would only make arrangements through a local shelter for spay as well. Most Shelters are operating on a shoe string and while we (our shelter) doesn't cut corners, we definitely pinch every penny three times before letting it go. Preexisting conditions are the responsibility of the new owner. We ...

Re: Fanny the Granny...OREGON

Seriously, she's being a boob about the crate? We had her at the Town Center with us and she was in a wire crate without a peep. Whenever she wasn't handled, she laid in her crate and watched the world go by. Oh well, she gets to hang with Norman which is waaayyyy more fun anyway.

Re: Fanny the Granny...OREGON

Angela is right, this is one jewel of a senior. She spent all afternoon with us yesterday, at a large regional shopping mall yesterday. She was petted and patted I don't know how many times and she loved it..she loved everybody she met (and she met lots of people). The only time she had an issue was...

I couldn't be more impressed and proud

I don't have pictures yet, one of our volunteers was taking them...we spent the entire day at the Clackamas Town Center (a very regional mall for those that don't know the area). This was the first day of Bark Avenue/Meow Place. I could not have been more impressed with our dogs, if they had been Sc...

Watch for extended lethargy. Just like us with colds, they will sometimes get tired...what you're watching for is that bone weary lethargy. If you see that, do get them to a vet.

Wow Congrat's to you for sharing your home with a Senior..they are by far my favorites. Murfins gave you excellent information. I just lost my two Seniors this last summer Cinder (Doberman) was 12 and Charlie (lab X) was 17. They, like senior people, will have good days and bad you just need to roll...

You always have to ask yourself, how much...how much time, how many resources, how much risk do I pour into one dog. How much do, while the rescue can manage the dog, do I really, in my heart, think there is a "regular" home out there that can manage the behaviors safely. We have to celebr...

God I hate it when information gets screwed up....she is not the last of the previous litter. This little one came in all by herself as a stray??? I'm betting she's maybe 6 weeks and she is a really good puppy. She's only about 5.5 pounds so we'll see where we go from here. As little as she is I'm w...

We're gonna watch her for another couple of weeks and see if it's just that wierd growth patterns some of the pups go through.

It sure as heck doesn't slow her fanny down. She's going to foster with me for a couple of weeks and she is certainly giving Scooter and Magic a run for their money.

Yep we figure he's a Plott and there have been a lot of them around lately. Usually, they aren't my favorite breed, but he's a really nice guy.
