Re: This is starting to look less like spondylosis

We didn't get many answers. We won't have the answers without an MRI which we can't afford. She does have some spondylosis, but we just can't see what's going on through an x-ray. She is now on rimadyl and gabepenton. I post more updates on Facebook then pbf these days, so if anyone can offer advice...

Re: This is starting to look less like spondylosis

The more I read about meylopathy the more I want to curl up in a ball and cry. I am so not ready for this. God I hope itis something else.

Re: This is starting to look less like spondylosis

Though today while I was at a job interview ashes decided to open the bathroom cabinet and raid a trashcan containing some feminine products. Oh a few years ago I would have been so mad, now I just smile and tear up when my forever puppy is an ass.

Re: This is starting to look less like spondylosis

We go to vosm on Monday. Although my referral from my amazing vet (COUGH) was for issues with her TPLO surgery, I was able to tell the receptionist her REAL issues and we will be going to see a neuro specialist on a day an orthopedic surgeon is at the hospital, in case we need another opinion. I'm t...

This is starting to look less like spondylosis

Vet referred us to an orthopedic specialist. Should we be looking into something else? She just got off prednisone which made things worse, she's currently just on trammadol. This is getting to be unbearably upsetting. This seems to cause her no pain, only embarrassment. She is otherwise in great sp...

Re: Not sure what's going on with ashes, looking for insight

I forgot to mention ashes is 11 now. She's on doxycicline and the vet prescribed rymadyl. I guess permanently? I've been avoiding giving ashes a daily pain treatment for a long time, but maybe it is time. She's had pain meds after her many surgeries and tolerated them well. I'm nervous about giving ...

Not sure what's going on with ashes, looking for insight

The vet wasn't sure what her squishy heel was, but wasn't concerned. She said it could be some kind of fallen tendon. There was another small lump next to it. I brought ashes in for the heel lump and lack of coordination, but the vet didn't notice the hock lump and found another one, thinking that w...

Please excuse my misuse of heel. I'd like some healing going on though.

Cue panic, what is going on with ashes' heel?

So between buying my first house, moving, quitting my job, and stressing about ashes emotional health, I missed this one. http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab297/Oti67/269c993476960374c11de87a92612a16_zps1c3573e8.jpg Her heal is swollen and squishy. I can squish this around with my fingers and it m...

Re: Need help with my boyfriends dog...

May I also add fear into this mix. Tessa warms up quickly to anyone who will give her attention ( paws on chest staring long fully into eyes), but does bark a lot, at everything. It appears to me she is fearful of commands, and not much else aside from thunderstorms. Any command is met with eye aver...

Re: Need help with my boyfriends dog...

I would love some more articles on impulse control if possible! I'm also working on compiling some videos of Tessa's behavior. Were getting kicked out of our house, and working tirelessly to find a place to keep us all together (dogs, cats, chickens and pigeons!). Good progress on getting a mortgage...

Re: Need help with my boyfriends dog...

Thank you all! The boyfriend and I had a brief conversation today about it, I think typing everything out helped me word things better! We have different opinions on dog training, and it is time for me to step up and use my dog knowledge on his dog. I have much to learn, relearn, and apply. And know...

Need help with my boyfriends dog...

Hello all, it's been awhile! Ashes is doing great, she's 10 now but aside from some arthritis she's happy as can be! I feel awful writing this. But to be blunt, I don't like my boyfriends dog. I hate this fact. He's had her about three years now, I've been living with her for two. She is a 6 year ol...

Re: Mica needs a home-Maryland

If anyone could set me up with an adoption event I'd be happy to attend, would have to work out a good system with the other dogs there tough. Might be tough. Don't forget about ms. mica. She's so ready to go home. I do my best with her, but time is harder to find and life seems to be getting more s...
