my sisters rottie developed severe OCD from laser pointers. We would go nuts even if you picked up your keys as it was a key chain type. It went into shadow chasing, and he would obsessively lick anything, the floor the wall, the patio, himself. He was REALLY messed up and alot stemed from the laser...

Last month Arlo acheived his Canadian kennel club CD title. Then yesterday he received a perfect score at the Rally obedience trial and received the highest score in class award against 33 other dogs in his class. In alot of cases, dogs that have chronic ear infections are often dealing with a food allergy realted problem. I had labs growing up that had chronic issues for years. When I found out about the allergies and put her on hypo food, she never had another issue. I think 70-80% of ear infections are foo...

I thought the dog Santos looked like he enjoyed the bitework, and his handler was able to get him to do some very impressive obedience, but he looked like he was waiting to get fried, and afraid to make a mistake.

thats exactly what I saw as well.

My dog got "cold water tail" after a long day swimming at the beach last year. It was extremely painful for a couple days, then was fine. I gave him Metacam for the pain. I too thought he broke it but I looked up what to do for a broken tail and I stumbled across a site that described his ...

Tis the season for holiday dangers..

:( Yesterday Draiman my Staffy Bull got into a can of Macadamia nuts and cashews. This morning I woke up and his hind end was completly paralyzed and he was having muscle tremors! I was freaking out and called animal emergency and they told me that the macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs. I had no idea...

Arlo was nuetered at nine months when he came into the shelter. No behavioral issues and he is 4 now. Draiman however is 11 months old and intact. I am having a tough time as I cant stand the hormonally based behaviors (marking, smegma, assertivness, dog reactivness) but we are very active in the co...

For me it comes down to quality. The lower end brands use lower quality meat sources that are often disgusting and inconsistant. I prefer to have peace of mind knowing the quality of ingredients is top notch. As well my dogs look and feel great. Its been proven that lower end brands use roadkill, fl...

Those are Rally O and agility titles. He also has one leg towards his CD, and is almost ready for his tracking test.

Draiman the SBT is currently training for agility and obedience, and has one point towards his championship.

I was on Amitriptline for nerve pain. It worked really well, but I went off of it as it caused random vomiting for me. The vet prescribed it for my dog for anxiety but it didnt have any improvement on it.
