Re: ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

There's nothing I can do - the dog was surrendered to the Humane Society in Barrie, and was sent out of province.

Re: ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

So the email I got... shaaady. After I mentioned to this lady how the dog was found, she changed her story and said that this woman didnt actually lose the dog, she used to own the dog, gave it up, now wants him back. Needless to say, I got in contact with the woman who originally found this dog. Sh...

Re: ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

BIN has been in contact with the woman who found him. I do not believe they were able to get someone to temperament test him, and they suggested she anonymously surrender him to a local Humane Society. However, the plot thickens. Today I received an e-mail from a woman who knows someone who is missi...

Here are pictures. My fingers are crossed. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8166/kittens001.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/654/kittens002.jpg The lady who found her is torn. She really likes this dog, but if he is illegal (being as he's a year or so old) if anyone questioned her on him, he...

ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

Hey guys! Been a long time since I've been here. I work in a Vet Hospital in Clarksburg (Ontario) - about 2.5 hours from Toronto. I had a client bring a Pitbull in that she found. She said that her neighbor saw the dog get thrown out of a moving car, and proceed to try and catch up to the car, to no...

Adopting a Pitbull in Ontario

Does anyone have any documentation on how one can adopt a Pitbull in Ontario?
I remember hearing that you can still adopt one if you live in the province, providing you haven't owned one before. Is this correct?

The third exam they "tried to line you up with" is for their third and final booster, as well as rabies vaccine. I don't suggest putting that off, as many times if you do not get the whole series done in a certain amount of time, you will have to start all over again.

You really need to work on environmental contamination with Giardia, it comes back easily if you don't sanitize stuff around him.

I guess now that I am in a better mood (worked a 14 hour day yesterday, ACK), I will give my 2 cents. I don't automatically take animals downstairs. I usually will ask if they are comfortable being in the room while I do a procedure like a nail trim or a blood draw. Some owners won't even want to be...

As a vet tech who has been nearly attacked while attempting to take blood infront of an owner, then being loved to death by the same dog when we took her downstairs - I have to say wow, paranoid much?

This offends me for some reason. Come work in a clinic. :)

Weird. We do at least one FB surgery a week, and 99% of them recover well..
