Good luck! I'm in the same situation. My last adoption has a profound case of separation anxiety. I have him on clomipramine and it seems to be making things worse. He's only been on it for three weeks so I'm giving it one more week to see if he changes for the better. I've been doing the create des...

I've had the same problem with Kongs. I don't buy them anymore. The last one I bought lasted a whole 15 minutes. I strictly buy nylabones and Galileo bones. My last five dogs are/were all aggressive chewers. The beagle/jack mix was the most aggressive out of all of them.

Nylabone's are pretty awesome, and they have a great variety to suit just about any dog. Your dog is a BEAUTY!!!! For some reason my dogs refuse to eat anyhting rubber, nylon or plastic. Not even to get PB out of a kong  but if your dog will chew a nylabone that is a great way to save money! T...

I'm going through a similar situation with Cerberus. My latest rescue. We went to the Vet night before last and got a prescription Clomipramine. He get so spun up we can't work on his desensitization training. I'm hoping with in a couple of months the drug therapy and behavior modification I can get...

For me and my dogs the hydrogen peroxide has been hit and miss as far as getting them to vomit. Beltaine needed 4 TBS over an hour plus a walk to get her to yak. The best thing I've ever seen to make a dog vomit is apomorphine. An E-vet had to use it on Solstice once. A drop of it in the corner of h...

Red, Great information! I actually printed this out years ago and gave copies to my old vet and kennel. My ex and I have demonstrated the use of the breaking stick to many who were unaware. Unfortunately, about 8 years we were in a situation were we had to use them when our old jack russell mix went...

I went to this meeting last night and the outcome was absolutely ridiculous. All of the commissioners were ignorant to everything about pit bulls. About 25 people stood up in opposition to this law and only 1 person stood for it. That doesn't seem like they are doing it in the best interest of the ...
