Re: Temperament - venting

I think this nearly every day when I'm walking through our kennels and looking over some of the dogs with 'awaiting rescue' tags on them. Knowing some of these dogs, I can only shake my head.

Re: so this morning...

That's a tough situation. We're fortunate to have the room on our own property for the dogs to be walked. The volunteers are not allowed near the dogs in sick bay or the ones in receiving for similar reasons, too many issues with that. They only have contact with the dogs on the adoption floor and t...

Re: Does your rescue/shelter offer sales?

We also have multiple sales here. Similar to Amie's mostly. Two cats that came in together is a 2 for one, if you pick two different cats to take that didn't come in together it's usual price for one and half for the other. Usually after "kitten season" we will have straggler black kittens...

Re: Sacramento Adoptables..

She's picky but does have some dogs she's gotten along with. Same general situation as Mamas with other dogs. No cats for her though.

Sacramento Adoptables..

Hey there fellow PBF'ers...I have 2 special cases to post up here today and would appreciate any help. First off is a sweet female we call Mamas. She's been with us for I estimate around 7mos now. She's a great dog, about a year and a half - 2 yrs old. They evaluated her as slightly younger then tha...

She is at the Sacramento SPCA on Florin-Perkins. I know they don't accept strays from Sacramento city OR county, only Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova so I'm not sure exactly what that would list them as. :huh?:

Beautiful girl in Nor Cal

Holly is an energetic 1 yr old APBT, she's smaller and more compact than the pictures may show. About 45 - 50lbs. She's a great dog that's been at the shelter since Sept. 27th and unfortunately it's beginning to take it's toll on the sweet girl. She's beginning to have some fear and stress issues an...

He pooped earlier this morning. It wasn't much though. As well as has been peeing throughout the day. I'm starting to think he is highly allergic to the food he was on. I fed him some chicken and rice (small portion) this afternoon and he kept that down as well as a little tonight. Since this mornin...

So the past 3 days Blaze has been a bit weird. ( 1 1/2yr old male). Acting lethargic and a bit bloated. He's crated and rotated between another male I have so he is rarely out unsupervised. He had however been outside for a few minutes unattended with some fertilizer (non-toxic) I h...

One of mine has HA but he got it several years ago so he should be okay. The rest are 24petwatch and i'm liking them. We had all of them done at once at low cost spay/neuter function for like $15 a dog, reg. and all. Free online reg. which you can update any time and it seems like most places are ch...

That is a tough place for one of those. Has the vet confirmed that that's what it really is? Or have they done any further tests? A few dogs i've seen with this just had them removed. They both did well after the removal and haven't had any pop up since. http://www.TFpets.com I highly recommend Tran...
