Actually, what makes foods like EVO not good for urinary tracts and kidneys is the high ash content. Add water to the kibble. Adding water will not change the phophorus content; it is VERY important to feed a LOW phosphorus diet to a dog with chronic kidney disease. Believe me, I lost my soul mate ...

PS: Sadly I can see a lot of kibble feeders rushing out there to get EVO etc. Per a co-worker, 40% protein diets risk high phosphorus levels also leading to kidney issues... It's actually NOT the protein I was referring to - it's that the composition of the combined ingredients of EVO make it a hig...
