Re: New foster - major issues
Should I bathe him? I have oatmeal or antibacterial shampoo I could use. I don't want to irritate his skin any more so not sure if I should wait or not for a bath

He already seems to be feeling a little better. He is more active today and ate a few treats.

New foster - major issues
This little 7 week old guy is my new foster. His previous owner (despite claims that he wasn't hers since she wasn't planning on keeping him after he was weaned from HER dog) said he may have laid in some bleach. This looks more systemic to me. His ear canals are swollen and oozing pus along with al...

Normally we (my rescue) pay for all vet care unless the foster offers to cover it. However I am looking for another rescue to take these guys b/c we are absolutely maxed out and can not afford anything else at the moment. We've had a run of dogs with medical issues that have drained the bank account...

Anybody on here that does rescue who would be willing to take a little pit/lab puppy that may have ringworm? She's about 3-4 months old There is also a great little plain brown male pit that came in yesterday. He's been hit by a car and possibly has a fractured femur. Despite being all banged up he'...

Moon was so happy just to get into the car it was pathetic. She did well on the 45 minute ride home. Now I'm having fun watching her 14 year old wobbly self and Jezzy hopping on 3 legs trying to figure out who is boss. Lots of sniffing and while tails and bodies are relaxed I can tell this is a subd...

Piper at BARCS
Piper is a young (maybe a year old) male pit mix. He is very people oriented and seems ok with female dogs (not sure about males). Piper came in as a stray and is now avaibale for adoption. I love this boy, he is outgoing and very energetic. He is at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter 301 ...

Everyone on here has been so supportive. I want to thank everyone who has made a donation so far towards her care and everyone who has offered help. Moon developed some bloody diarrhea which we are hoping is just from too many treats from the shelter volunteers and staff (fecal and parvo test were n...

You can take Mia, a healthy, adoptable girl and I can take Ms. Sassy Pants who can chill out with me for a while That's a very tempting idea lol can you give us a general idea of how much her work up is going to cost? Each vet is different in their pricing. My vet is $29 for a UA, and probably arou...
