Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

I hope y'all figure it out!! I know gastric reflux can cause coughing in people too and be the only symptom. I am not sure how you would even test a dog for that tho. I hope the thickeners help!

Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

I don't know anything about ot, but I hope Brina feels better soon! I did see this on Google tho.. Laryngeal paralysis and they mentioned While there’s no cure, the most effective way to treat it is through what’s called a “tie-back surgery.” Returning to Milovancev’s curtain analogy, the surgery in...

Re: My puppy is seriously misbehaving, I need some guidance

When we were teaching bite inhibition, NILF and bellowing OW! seemed to work. After the OW! I would calmly walk away and ignore her for a while. The first time, I wound up ignoring her all day - I would feed her and take her out but I didn't talk to her needlessly and didn't try to pet her. Another ...

Re: Blue Buffalo- Recall

I know this post is a couple of weeks late, but we feed Peanut Blue Buffalo without any problems. She doesn't do well with too much protein (gassy, stinky, runny) so we never tried the grain free. She has done well on it for several years. We once switched to something else (organix), but she had 3 s...

Re: Help with way to happy tail?

Peanut smacked her tail open once. Yikes that took a looong time to heal! Once you can finally get it healed, figuring out where the dog originally hurt their tail seems to be key. Peanut did it on the metal trim the builder had in the doorway to the garage. We took down the metal trim and put up wo...

Re: Coats and PJs......

If it's 65F in the house Peanut will want her hoodie.

40F outside?

She will have monster zoomies without the hoodie....

She gets cold fast in the house. Right now it's 72F inside and she's off lookin for a warm spot.

Awww... on her eyelid? I'm glad the were able to get them all off!

As far as I know, Peanut had a normal (good) immune system.

Some of the worst fights I know about involved dogs that usually got along. Until then.

Re: Help Crazy Woman next door

It's good that you are keeping them in the house. Safer too. If you have asked her not to feed the dogs, and she still is throwing meat in your yard I would send a signature required certified letter politely requesting she not feed your dogs or throw anything in your backyard. Keep a copy and all t...

Re: how many of you have dogs that fight ?

Peanut is our only dog. We crate her at night and when we leave the house. I dogsit for my friends and they have 4 German Shorthair Pointers. 2 female 2 male. One of each is spayed/neutered. Peanut is spayed. Peanut doesn't fight. She gets along with all 4 dogs. We pick up all the toys except tennis...

Re: Itchy butt

Pretty much every dog I know loves the scratch right in front of their tail. Some get pretty addicted to having it scratched.
