Re: OFFICIAL e-collar debate thread

I have a co worker who cannot be swayed. He uses an e-fence with his bully. The dog is well aware of the consequences and you can see him measure them. When he decides it's worth it (the cat or certain dog friends), he braces himself and goes for it. Then, as usual, he has no incentive to go back in...

Re: Fractured Canine-pulp showing

OUCH! Poor pup! My dog who had some SA issues when younger, inexplicably one day decided that she would never go into her crate again after about 5 years. She destroyed several crates and hurt herself in the process. So, I threw them away after she nearly had us evicted with her tantrums. She's been...

New Merrick blends….

Anyone tried any of Merricks new no grain blends? They seem a little hot for my elder bully at 70% protein but they read well. I have had Daisy on their food for years now with great results. They changed the packaging and names on all of their other staple blends as well but the recipes were suppos...

Thanks for the input everyone. I am one of those people that skips pills at all cost for myself so I am reserved about giving them to my dog. However, whatever is going on with her, needs to be brought under control immediately before she does anymore damage to herself, the house, or breaks the thin...

Skipped the Valerian, she's fighting through tranquelizers right now so I skipped the herbal remedies. I believe I picked up some of the Rescue Remedy a couple of years ago to no avail.

How many of you guys have used this and what were your experiences? Also, from what I know of the drug without behavioral modification therapy it's not a solution. Sooo, I know you should leave and then come back before the dog becomes agitated and work your way up....Daisy flips right when I leave....

I have always used 2 inches. Depends on what kind of pullers your dogs are. Finally, I am about to be able to try a 1.5 with Daisy.[/i]

That reads pretty well, I would give it a shot. I don't know where you are but if you're having trouble finding good foods that sounds like the best out of what has to be a short list if your feeding Royal Canine. On the other hand, if your ordering online to get it, you could do better.

The loss of appetite isn't a good sign, but I would use the fluid intake as my measuring stick for urgency. Is the pup drinking? I would assume the rapid loss of weight was water. Take the pups scruff and pull it up gently until the skin is stretched without tension. It should snap right back into p...

A search will turn up several threads on this.

I will say that Daisy doesn't really graze in the winter. She starts with the grass right about this time of year as it's warming up a little bit.

It's OK, lots of dogs do it. Regardless of any other external factors, diet, or health...my dogs have always enjoyed doing this. I remember another member mentioning that her dogs go out to graze with the horses. lol
