Re: How to Make a Dog Vomit

Great post. I've used this method when I was in college and found some students that had over-indulged them self with alcohol. "Here, have a shot of this!" .. "what is it? Vodka?" "Yup, with sprite"... Better than alcohol poisoning.. Those who remembered the event norma...

Re: Blue Buffalo Foods

I just switched to Blue Buffalo Wilderness formula. Vinnie's coat cleared up, and he's gaining visible muscle mass without any other changes (no extra walking / exercising). FWIW, he seems to like it more than what he was on before also.

Re: food dispensing toys

After vinnie got bigger, I had to replace all my interior door handles from lever style to knob style.. I think the second he was tall enough to nose those things down he did...

Re: My vindictive puppy..

It's not vindictiveness, it's that he's learned that he isn't allowed to do that in front of you, but hasn't learned he isn't allowed to do it without witnesses.* How often does he go out, for how long is he out there, and how long before you're going to leave the house? What is your reaction when ...

My vindictive puppy..

So vinnie is 2 years old now. When myself or my room mate are home, he's great. Doesn't chew anything up and never goes to the bathroom in the house. However, if we leave him alone - even for as little as 30 minutes - we always come back to a fresh brown gift in the living room floor. Obviously, I c...

I'm not sure i'd be too worried about it. If he's well behaved otherwise, guarding you when you were 'intruded' on is in his behavior, and isn't necessarily a bad thing. My pup is pit/cane corso. Cane's are mastiffs, and are known to be natural guard dogs. I've never seen it in him, anyone who he kn...

that's about the long and the short of it. What's the best way to train like that? Turn the TV up? Like I said, he isn't a menace or anything. He will not take food, but he will beg others. He won't force himself on you, but he will charge and stand in your way when you walk... And he won't listen t...

Puppy behavior or disobediance?

Vinnie is just over one year old. At nearly 90lbs, he can be a load to handle. I have been to obedience classes with him, and he responds very well to training. He will come to me, sit, lay down, leave an item, will not take anything from my hands until I allow it, and behaves very well.. However, w...

We just take an empty water bottle and put their kibble for the day in it. There's a puzzle toy too you can stick all their kibble in. The water bottles are free after you are done drinking the water. Just remove the paper and the plastic ring from the bottle. Have you tried a hard plastic/solid si...

The tug-a-jug looks like it'd distract him for some time. Petsmart doesn't seem to carry it though, so i'll order online.

Any other 'puzzle' type toys? He likes peanut butter in the Kong.
