Re: Bean has an ultrasound tomorrow

fingers and paws crossed for Bean over here! Hoping you get some good news.

I am trying to tell Roc he has to live forever - not sure he completely understands that I am serious.

Re: Pancreatitis

Just saw this as have been studying for finals up until now. So sorry you are dealing with crap with Tux now. I really hope it is something more benign like IBD - it is possible for sure. Please let us know when you find out. Roc has had 3 bouts of pancreatitis. On his first bout the vets found abno...

Re: Old dog vestibular disease?

Glad to hear Mooches is doing better! Sounds like with some TLC he should be ok. Having old dogs is not easy!

Re: Roc in hospital

Thanks everyone! Yes Roc has continued to improve at home and is back to his normal dorky, old man self. Thank dog! He just finished his last antibiotic pill this morning and I am going to set him up for re-check chest x-rays next week after the holiday to see how his lungs are looking. I want to ma...

Re: Roc in hospital

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for Roc! I don't want to jinx anything, but so far Roc is doing really well at home. The first day back he was back home he had 2 more seizures a few hours apart, but I think they were just follow up seizures from all the stress as he has not had any since. Th...

Re: Roc in hospital

Beyond emotionally rough day today - almost put my little man to sleep, but just couldn't do it. :crybaby: Waited all morning for an update with nothing and then checked around noon and the vet was busy. Got a call at 1:30 pm that Roc was having fits (seizures) and was it normal for him to have clus...

Re: Sadie isn't well

Been following Sadie's saga on FB - but just wanted to say I am so glad they did surgery and that she is on the road to recovery. Bully breeds are just so darn tough sometimes that they will not even show the normal symptoms of a really bad obstruction. Poor girl! I am sure she will be back and gett...

Re: Roc in hospital

I am on the verge of a panic attack right now - haven't seen Roc since Tuesday, so I personally have no idea how he is doing only what the vets are telling me which is extremely hard for me. He is the hospital again tonight and since he has been fairly quiet it was better for me not to see him as th...

Re: Roc in hospital

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts - keep them coming his way! He improved a tiny bit overnight, but they decided to keep him another night as they wanted more time for him on IV antibiotics. They will reevaluate tomorrow and see if I can take him home on oral antibiotics. He is weak and sleeping...

Roc in hospital

I know I don't post here as much as I used to with the move & vet school - life is just crazy, but I could use your good thoughts for my little man. Roc is in the hospital over night tonight. This morning he was coughing a ton, but he coughs every once in awhile so I didn't think too much of it ...

Re: Sneaky's latest ordeal

Glad they finally figured out what was wrong with her toe (and that it was not cancer) - hopefully the medicine does the trick and Sneaky can go back to being full on crazy Sneaky. Thank dog she is a pit bull and can handle all of that as a lot of other breeds would be a PITA to deal with when it ca...

Beyond sorry Val....I can't believe that Ice is gone. :crybaby: What an incredibly horrible year losing your 2 red girls. You did everything you could for her and she had an amazing life with you- so well loved. Words really can't take the pain away I know... RIP Ice.

Re: Ice

I am hoping that it is not cancer and something treatable with the heart. Are you going to Advanced Critical Care to see Dr. Arndt? He is the only cardiologist in LA unless you go all the way down to Lawndale, so I hope you were referred there. I used to work at ACC and he is awesome. Paws crossed f...
