Re: We had an incident :(

No peroxide. Kills healthy tissue. Use saline solution.

And I agree with the lucky fluke.

Re: Dog Groomers?

this could be the perfect chance for you to start something new, including building your own grooming shop, instead of coming into someone else's. i too believe everything happens for a reason.

good luck candace.

Canadian Pet Insurance

Trupanion? Ok thanks. I'll definitely look into it. Finn's getting older so I have been thinking of finding something to help us just incase he *god forbid* needs something major done.

Thanks for the advice.

Canadian Pet Insurance

Does anybody have any health insurance for their dog? Does canada offer any good companies? If any canadians on the board have pet insurance, can you tell me how happy you are with yours? Have you had to use it for extreme cases? Cancer treatment or major surgery? How expensive is it? Is it worth ge...

Best tag clip?

Hahaha. I know. Keys are hard enough let alone tiny keys.

But I've often contemplated a padlock for Finn's tags. And if you keep it with your house keys, you'd be more inclined to keep track of it. Lol.

Best tag clip?

What about a tiny padlock? You could put the key on your house keys and that way they'd never come undone.

Welcome. She's a beauty. APBTs are actually VERY suited for the things u had mentioned u were looking for. What you've discovered in her is not an anomaly. They are truly athletic, versatile, smart and very, very eager to please their humans. They are pretty much an all around jack of all trades dog...

Welcome. What part of ohio? I believe the statewide law has been changed...or is in the process of being changed...I don't know. But a lot of places in ohio have strict laws against owning bully breeds. Make sure, if u do manage to work a dog into the picture, that you know exactly what the law says...

Saying hello and asking for advice

I feel like it should also be mentioned that while resource guarding is likely, and also very manageable with the proper instruction, you have a pit bull. Yes they are maligned in the media as vicious man biters!!! Baby killers!!!! They aren't. They are born and bred to LOVE their people. But they a...

Re: Fasteners

The hardware you're talking about I DO NOT recommend. I used the c shaped things with the screw shut end (can't remember the name) on my tie out and it was constantly coming undone even when tightened with pliers. I now use rock climbing locking carabiners thanks to the suggestion of this forum and...

Fasteners

Just looking for advice on what fastener to use for my chain spot. Finns a runner so when I'm outside I have to chain him up or he runs away. I used a ready made dog chain last summer and it worked for the most part, but it's not very fool proof. The fastener is faulty and he's got off of it before....

Re: How many think this is worth a laugh?

Thanks FBODGIRL. I don't even think I would have enjoyed that video before I learned about body language and stress cues. I read some comments and EVERYone is like, ooooh so cute, ooooh the dog looks soooo guilty. Someone needs to comment and bring peoples awareness to the stress signals the dog is ...

Re: OFA Ranking List

Wow, I'm actually surprised that GSDs were so low. Every shepherd I've ever met had bad bad BAD hips. But then again, the chances of me ever having met a shepherd from a breeder who actually even knows what OFA is are pretty slim. Sad but true. They are all advertised as "police dog lines"...
