Re: Good Lord, anything else at this time?

I've been M.I.A. from the forum for a while and have no idea who Zoey is  . . . but I just sent a small contribution via Paypal. Val, I'm sorry it couldn't be more, but hopefully everyone's contributions will add up quickly.

Help finding nail clipping video

Can anyone help me find that nail clipping video where the dog (I think it's a schnauzer) was intolerant to nail clippings. Then, it shows how the handler used treats and I believe a clicker to work with the dog. I remember it was posted here a few times in various threads, but I can't seem to find ...

Re: What do you think about their qualifications?

Actually, I may have a couple of contacts in New Orleans. Lemme check and I'll send you a PM ;) That would be nice. :) I'm really hoping I can make things work on my own since it's not very serious . . . but I'd still like to know what the best options are in the city if I find that I eventually ne...

Re: What do you think about their qualifications?

What are you looking for? A certified Veterinary Behaviorist, or a Veterinarian that has an interest and understanding of training? I guess, in this case, a certified Veterinary Behaviorist. I have to admit it's hard for me to decipher the qualifications listed. Neither of them appear to be Veterin...

Re: financial questions

Definitely check into to the restrictions in Ohio before you think about any of this. The other posters had pretty accurate prices ranges listed for the things you would need. I just wanted to add: I'm not sure who old you are, but are you going to college when you move out? The reason why I ask is ...

What do you think about their qualifications?

I know some of you guys are better at examining behaviorists' qualifications than I am. How does this husband and wife duo look to you?

Re: The Thundershirt

I tried it about a year and a half ago for Saint's SA. It is a very well made product, but I, unfortunately, didn't see any results. :(

Re: Manners Minder

It shipped today! I can't wait for it to arrive. :yipee: I think it will be really fun to work with Saint and this tool. New ideas keep popping in to my head of things to train with this tool. From calmly staying is his room without me, to calmly relaxing (on his tether spot) on the front porch whil...

Re: Manners Minder

That was a nice video. I hadn't seen it yet. (It's well worth watching so you can see a chicken jumping hurdles too. lol )

I wasn't familiar with Dr. Yin before this product, but I like her style.

Re: Manners Minder

So I bit the bullet and ordered the Manners Minder. Amazon has it on sale for $88 instead of $150. That was enough of a push for me to give it a try.

I'll keep y'all posted once it arrives. Hopefully it will be a useful tool.

I think you're going to have to invest in one of the sturdier crates like these: http://www.petedge.com/product/Home-Kennel/Cages-Crates/Cages-Crates/ProSelect-Empire-Cages/pc/194/c/310/sc/502/45512.uts" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or these: http://www.zingerwinger.com/xcart/home....

Re: Jumping and biting while running

Thank you! We are using one of his toys now, and he's doing better. At least people don't think my 100 pound dog is trying to attack me! Side note: please be careful with being off-leash in public places; no matter how well trained you dog is, accidents can always happen. I love using a long line w...
