thanks for the suggestions, i had been doing the distance method that jazzy mentioned....i guess im just going to have to go to a football field or something where we can have more room. Another question, i have a feeling that IF he could get at another dog, he would do damage....but im not entirely...

what if the dog refuses to NOT do hard stares....wyatt will still take treats when other dogs are around, but im unable to get him to pay any attention to me....he gets crazy focused and really seems to wanna rip the other dog apart (but he lives with a yellow lab and does absolutely wonderful.)?

i either use my skateboard and a harness

or a gentle leader and flat collar, walking pack combo.

stick a couple small 4x4 blocks or something on top of the cage to make a enough space between the cage and the blanket that the pup cant get to it. :dunno:

my suggestion.....take the dog now, use your own dog to help teach it that people provide love and affection, and that not all hands are used to abuse (which, lets face it, thats what it is....just like you, i was spanked... but i was never afraid of my parents, and i certainly never pissed on mysel...

i feed my dog Natural Balance Alergy formula potato and venison. ive read good things about natures variety, and canidae is meant to be a decent mid-range food. you can go to this link and it will tell you a bit more about foods:

lay down on a blanket, pick up a corner in her mouth, roll over, wrapping herself in the blanket. There's a Border Collie named "Dazzle" on youtube that demo's this trick quite nicely Here's one of Dazzle's vids, the "blanket trick" is at 1:03 but there are LOTS of neat trick id...

do you have any opinions on the working canine's option of neoprene padding? i havent seen that in other places, and it makes sense to me how that would be most comfortable.
