Re: Breaking up a fight with 2 or 3 dogs

Great reading here. I just had my first dog park hold. My Staffy locked on an aggressive mix that had a muzzle on. I posted a reply in the dog park thread. I actually used my hands to get her off but it was probably a combination of me immobilizing her back end and choking her a little. I do want to...

Yea, I agree, it's probaably the roommates being around that is causing it. She wants attention and knows there's people around.

Also, when we go out, I let her pee/poop first.

When she is done, we go onto the street, so that there are less scent distractions.

Mine stops occassionally when we walk. I began using treats to get her to keep walking. Sometimes they shut down bc they are tired but I knew mine was just complaining. I brought treats and made it fun and now she is much better.

I know it's hard but exercise and patience is the key. Find what your pup loves most and use it to train, break routine, and get her out of those bad habits. My pup is now 5 months approx. Her last teeth are coming in. Our problem was that we could not get her to walk normally. She pulled, barked an...

O man sorry to hear. It is important for all dogs to meet a neutral location. In your case though it wasnt the residents that had the issue so Corie is most likely dog aggressive. The boxer may have been boss or they just use to one another. Either way it was a nice effort and maybe take your pug to...

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

We meet alot of bullies at the local dog parks. All of them have been very well trained and most play with only other bullies. They do sound wicked though, as they romp and growl.

Hello from Atlanta!

Hello everyone. I have read these forums and used the search over and over since signing up. I have 2 1/2 Staff/mix and a new 3mo brindle pup that looks pretty much pure. I'll post pics soon. I need to get them off my camera. Both were adopted from PawsAtlanta. Thanks for the great site! -Brian
