I forgot about revolution-that was just coming out about that time I believe. Never read up on it. That is heartworm and flea in one right? I figured I will buy the first dose from the vet(whatever I buy) and the rest probally from 1-800 Pet meds if they are cheaper. Yea. Revolution is supposed to ...

I went with Revolution this year. I had to get it anyways for my little one because she had scabies. I figured I'd give it a shot and got a year's worth for both of them.

Soooo, like I said....they don't use it... No you're right, they don't use it. But they also can't tell us that it's not in the fish product from their source. That's a guarantee that many companies can and do offer. I believe that's the difference between a human grade meat ingredient and a non hu...

I own a pet shop and have contacted Diamond about this. My wholesaler rep said that it HAD to be on the label, and I'm 99% sure it's not. I'll get a call from the TOTW rep Monday or Tuesday and get this cleared up. FWIW, there is only one formula with fish, Pacific Stream. I'm home now and can't ch...

If you feed TOTW, I'd stay away from any formula with fish in it. It's preserved with ethoxyquin. I wanted to feed it myself but I emailed them first.

I took home some Merrick BG today to mix things up. To me, it looks like a really similar food with a much higher price. I'll post on it if I see any change. One thing I had NO luck with was Wellness, which I'm sure is a fine food, but just mixing it in with ToTW really caused a lot of gas... and m...

I do it myself and it's not nearly as bad it it sounds. Just do it in the bathtub at bath time. I'm not going to pay someone to do something that takes 2 minutes to learn and even less time to do. I've read that switching to a more natural diet (ie grain free) can make it easier for them to evacuate...

I don't think it's high protein, I think the ratios are off, but I could be wrong. I've heard a lot of negative things about it, but have no personal experience with it. I'm afraid you might be right. Like I said before, I was an avid EVO feeder for a while and have had good results but I may be st...

I may be mistaken but I think this only based on feeding high calcium as a puppy not an adult.

According to the following, they need less calcium as they mature.

I currently feed EVO Red Meat to my adult but that may change soon because of the high Calcium.

This is what I came up with while searching for Vitamin E dosage. Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin stored in the liver.Like other fat-soluble vitamins A, D, and K, if one exceeds optimal doses, the potential for long-term toxicity arises; therefore more caution needs to be used when giving fat-sol...

From the FDA. I didn't know they regulated or even cared about pet foods. Some consumers try to avoid pet foods with synthetic preservatives, such as butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), and ethoxyquin. Ethoxyquin, in particular, has been hotly debated. Current scientific ...

My reason for not feeding it is ethoxyquin. They don't allow it in human food so I will not feed it to my pups. Maybe I'm wrong but I will not take that chance to save a few bucks.

communication with TOTW (Diamond)

I send them an email trying to get a guarantee against the use of ethoxyquin. I WAS thinking of switching. The following is what I received. The preservation systems used by our vendors are considered proprietary information. However, we know that the heat from our pet food process destroys antioxid...
